Summer Swap with Dallas

VC, Hayes and Sean for JoHo, Stack and Shawne
What do you think? I believe Cuban would do it, as he was offering Howard and Stackhouse for Carter and Hayes before the trade deadline. The Mavs owner is addicted to advanced statistics, and Jarvis ranks as one of the best clutch performers in the league for him. I also think that Hayes would work well in Carlisle's system.
For us, obviously this deal gives us a ton of 2010 capspace. I will say, though, that I think Stackhouse can still play a little bit. We may ultimately decide to waive his mostly un-guaranteed contract for next year (especially if we drat someone like James Harden or Willie Warren), but he could give us Bobby Simmons-esque production. Remember, he hasn't played much for Dallas this year, but nOT because he was injured or done. He didn't like that Carlisle wouldn't guarantee him a spot in the rotation. That in itself may be a reason to waive him, but it's not like he's kaput. Anyway...
The other part is that I like Howard's contract; he has a team option for '10-'11. That means that if we don't see a better FA than Josh available that summer, we can keep him. Even if we do retain him, he's $5.5mil cheaper in 2010 than Carter, which makes signing a max FA MUCH easier. He is also a very good friend of Devin, and could regain his All-Star production in the DDM.
