They are giving some serious touch calls to Howard.

Also, why is it that really bad free throw shooters seem to become Dirk at the line against us?

That was a horribly bad shot by Bobby Simmons one more pass and he'd have hit an open Devin.

I don't know about that. It looked like someone was just off of Harris. I just thought that it was a terrible play call....an isolation Carter dish out???

There was a man in front of Harris but he was already pinching over towards Simmons so at the very least Harris' shot would have been less contested.

I'm surprised that Lee anticipated that pass so well. It seemed very out of place and unexpected.

We lost another close game against one of the elites. Too bad we couldn't hold on to the lead late in the 4th.

16 pts in the 4th quarter isn't gonna get it done.Nets better beat NY Sunday.Bobcats are tied with the Nets and they have a easier schedule.

At this point I am starting to look forward to more close losses vs elite teams and a maybe 7 more wins on the season total.
At least we get to watch truly competitive basketball the rest of the season and more than likely, the Bulls, Bucks, Pacers, Bobcats, Suns and maybe the Warriors and dare I say the Craptors or Knix wind up with a better record and we end up with the 7th to 11th pick.

Regardless, you can see this team as currently built, with some experience and a few small improvements, such as a successful and effective lotto pick, Yi, Brook, Swat and Devin getting better over the summer and maybe one or two small trades, should literally be a 44-48 win team next season, even with Opie as coach.

I just dont understand the love for small ball. Heck, im not even asking for a SWill at PF and Brook on Center, just use Anderson, who is playing better again and knocking down three's more often now, and, of course, Yi. Frank could've played Yi in the last seconds and give him a shot at shooting the three, maybe that's what he needs to get more confidence again and i think Yi, with his height and quick release, would be a better option than Simmons, plus Yi's shot is on tonight.

Many times i've seen Simmons getting hammered for a rebound and would end up commiting the foul as a result. It just drives me crazy to see that we have Anderson and Yi on the bench while our PF spot was having a hard time rebounding the ball and defending, "The Czar" even specified that, he broke down Orlando's height against the Nets height that was playing at the time. It's not like Yi or Anderson cannot shoot three's, right? It's unbelievable!

I didn't watch the game just to lose and bash Opie here again. But when you look at the game, and i watched it twice, the second time was to break down the game and see where we lack by losing the game just for three points, you can clearly tell that playing small ball was one of the biggest factors on why we lost this game when we should've won it.

Anyways, i kinda like the outcome of the game because it only means that we are getting closer to a better lottery pick. It just pisses me off to see the players played harder and just lose the game for the same issue i stated above.

Frank probably should have played Yi late in the game tonight. He was doing a pretty good job on Lewis and he was hitting his shots and the boards. Plus his height had an effect on Howard inside when Lopez got switched off.

this small ball is killing us at times and sometimes its shooting us into games

i think ryan anderson needs to be the backup PF, because simmons is only like 6'6 , if we keep this small ball, and get comfortable with it we are going to have troubles

2nd unit should consist of
pg- dooling
sg- hayes (omggg beast)
sf- simmons
pf- anderson
c- williams
