Williams out
The Warriors are in the process of waiving seldom-used point guard Marcus Williams, but the paperwork wasn't finalized by the end of the day.
The Warriors acquired Williams for a first-round draft pick in July, but he played in just nine games for a total of 54 minutes.
When asked what didn't work with Williams, Nelson replied: "Everything."
"It just wasn't a good fit," Nelson said. "I like him very much. It was a really tough situation and he was a model citizen. He worked hard and was a pleasure to be around. His style just wasn't my style. He's better in the half-court."

Also, in case you are wondering which pick you may be getting as part of this deal...
Here’s how it’ll work: If the Warriors make the playoffs in 2011, the Nets will get their first-round pick that year. If not, they’d get the pick the next season as long as the Warriors aren’t picking in the top 11. If it doesn’t happen that year, the Nets will get the Warriors top pick in 2013, as long as it’s not pick 1 through 10. If the Nets get none of those picks, they’d instead get Golden State’s second-round picks in 2013 and 2015.
