play PF next to Lopez for some games. I really think that wouldve given the Nets a very solid interior defense. I don't like this mobile 4 thing--I dont like Yi Andersen is bench player--you want a tough defensive-minded 4 man. Brook can get you the 18 points and 9 rebounds but with Boone together they form a formidable defensive interior.
Im not a Net fan but I would like them to take Blair. Blair and Lopez would be nasty.

I'm also not a big fan of the small-ball / mobile 4 thing... I'd like the Nets to employ a more traditional lineup but I think part of the problem with that would be where the hell is the offense going to come from?
I think the lack of a real starting caliber SF hurt the Nets a lot this season...

Yeah if I was running the Nets --I would try to find another team interested in YI. Something like Yi to GS for Azubike

They won't do that. It's going to be hard to find a team interested in Yi, especially after his performance, or lack there of this year.

Well... G-State does have a major overload among their guards and Yi is the type of player Nelson would love... On the flip side Azubuike is one of Don's butt buddies.

I would love Thorn to try to get a late lotto, mid 1st rounder for Yi.
If we are staying with the same basic core and certain guys like Earl Clark, Monroe and DeRozan are gone by our pick, I would love Thorn to try getting Rudy Gay for Yi and our pick.

Is Blair projected to go top 5 or top 10? Because I really like his game. If he's available I think it's a no-brainer for the Nets to snatch hum up.

Blair is a nice college player, but besides his rebounding I don't know how his game translates to the NBA. He's likely a mid teens to mid 20's pick and I wouldn't waste a lotto pick on him.

I don't want Dajuan Blair. Dude is Tractor Traylor 2.0.

As much as I like Blair and we dont get into the top 3, No way I pick him at 10 /11.
If Thorn can pull an Eddie Griffin with a team like Minn and we get their 18 and 28 pick for, I can see us picking Blair with either of those.

Oh I see. So who would you guys like to see the Nets pick if we get into the top 3 (excluding Blake Griffin of course) or if we stay put at number 10 or 11?

I am also dissapointed in Josh's performance this season. It seems like he took a step back. No improvement from the free throw line. Lack of range and he lost a lot of time due to Brook and Yi. Although I dont have a lot of hope for him I think we should keep him and see if he can grow into a decent backup.
