Have you guys seen Realgm`s new mock draft? They have us taking Earl Clark with the 11th selection. But, my question is: would we take Clark istead of Derozen? he was available when we were on the clock in the mock draft(he ended up going to the bobcats at 12th). So, which player do you guys see us taking: Clark,Derozen,Dejuan Blair,Patrick Patterson, or anyone else?
P.S: I dont think Derozen will be available when we pick, but if he´s...i think i would go for him.

I feel like Derozan is the more prototypical wing but that Clark is more of a Thorn-Kiki player... As for who I'd prefer...

I guess I'm still going to stick with my motto: Derozan or die.

...Though I wouldn't be disappointed with Clark, I don't know too much about Patrick Patterson, and am not a huge fan of Dejuan Blair.

Patrick Patterson is my #3 favorite college player (behind Harden and Clark), but I honestly think he needs one more year of college. He's gonna stay in since it's a week draft, and he'll probably go lottery but he's not gonna do anything major his rookie season.

When does free agent period start? We need to do a few things which will determine whether I want Harden or Clark:

1. If we can find a solid 4 to play next to Brook for a year years around MLE money, then move Vince to the 3, draft Derozan and have Hayes/Simmons/CDR come off the bench for those guys while Dooling can focus on coming off the bench for Harris.

2. Basically vice versa to #1 in that if we can find/trade for a solid 2 or 3, draft Clark.

This is just my opinion of course, but around 11, these are the two guys I think are our best chances of making an immediate impact.

I am very worried about DeRozan being able to develop an NBA caliber offensive game that isn't based on his ability to pull up for jumpers like Rudy Gay. I don't think he will suddenly figure out how to drive to the rim in the NBA. As of right now he has very little understanding of ball-handling, footwork, and driving angles, let alone the advanced moves that top wing players use in the NBA.

I do like his effort level but there hasn't been anything this year that really excites me to make me think he could develop into a star player. Doesn't mean he can't, but I'd like to see more evidence of it pre-draft.

I think Clark has a SF game that much more easily projects to the NBA and I really like his length on the defensive end.

Agree with Lurking's post about DeRozan. His upside is a poor man's RJ with low BBIQ. Maybe Desmond Mason with a jumper.

I still say Clark is more of a 4 then a 3.

On a side note Realgm's mock is hot trash.

I like Patterson, although he is a little undersized, he makes up for it with a huge wingspan and athleticism. He has the makings of a poor man's Elton Brand, but like Prelude said, i don't think he is an immediate contributor.

I don't mind DeRozan at 11, but if we trade up I hope it's to take Harden or Hill.
