last year i played espn's draft lottery and won the top pick 3 out of like 20 times. today i've been trying and trying and trying... but never made it out of our original spot. so maybe this year will be the exact opposite of last year and we actually get that top spot?? brook and blake = DYNASTY

We have a 2.9% chance for a top three pick. If we win the top pick, we will have won it with the longest odds (we have the 11th worst odds) in NBA history. Chicago's with 8th worst odds is currently the record.

Thanks Mr. Party Pooper :-?

We're all aware that the Nets have less than a 1% chance of getting the #1 pick but the hope is that if we think hard enough we can subconsciously influence David Stern to give the Nets the #1 pick.

Let's just say we happen to get the 3rd overall pick, who do you think we take?
Jordan Hill? James Harden? Thabust? DeRozan?

I can tell who you want...Thabeet right? I say Hill, I know he isn't the scorer that Hill or DeRozan is, but I think he fits perfectly next to Brook and Vince in the frontcourt. He will be our tough guy, battling for rebounds and defending.

With Brook, Devin, and VC we don't really need much scoring in my opinion.

I'd go with Harden.

I know I've been saying Derozan or Die but at #3 I think Derozan is too big of a risk. There's part of me that would want to take Hill but IDK I'm just feeling dat ni*** Harden right now.

As for Thabum... I just don't think drafting a backup to Brook Lopez makes much sense =D

The Nets could try to play the two of them together but if that backfires you basically wasted a #3 pick.

Isn't that what Harden will be? Backing up Vince at the 3? Can he play the 4.

I am not trying to be sarcastic, I just haven't done a whole lot of research on Harden yet, and I would assume you know.

Carter plays the 2 so Harden wouldn't be a backup unless Frank decides to bring him off the bench for some reason.

Yeah, but it's a completely different situation. Brook is our present and future. VC, even if we don't trade him, is not our long term future, he's just too old. I am pretty sure he can still put up the #'s he has been and have the same impactand effectiveness for another 2 or 3 years, but we are going to have to cut his minutes and eventually he will fall off pretty hard. Harden could either be a big minute 6xth man, ala a Manu Ginobli or start at the 2 with Vince at the 3.

I like Hill and Harden, but I think I have to go Harden between the 2. Harden is a SG who can play some point pretty effectively, he is too short to play the 3.

That's true, I guess I am always thinking that VC is a 3 in my mind because that is where I would want to see him play. I would still like to see a 4 taken...but like I said, just my opinion.
