is there any interest in shopping the pick along with maybe sean williams to aquire david lee?

i was thinking ppl say he can't play defense at all, well hes playing center so hes severly undersized i dont see why he wouldn't be good with lopez because hes a hustler on the boards, hes solid at the pick and roll, so lopez can be posting up while lee is cutting around or hitting a mid range shot.

you think it would be a good fit?

Harris - CDR - VC - Lee - Lopez

I don't like Lee. But I would consider this, in the right system you can mask his defensive deficiencies...

It really depends on what the pricetag is (both in terms of what Lee is earning and what the Nets are giving up)...

I dont know about Lee.

Like the hustle but...
1) the guy cant shot a jumper
2) his agent probably wants 8-10 mil. Dont think he is worth it.
3) If Anderson can get some PT, He can be a 12pt 4rb guy with hustle.

I agree sic but Anderson should get 12 and 6 in his sleep.

Add in the fact that he's not exactly an asset on the defensive end. Even in this weak draft, I'm not trading a lottery pick and blowing away future cap room for David Lee.

^I really don't think there is a system which can mask his defense. It is worse than Yi's.

Lee is a rebounder and great with the pick and roll.

Yi chucks threes, and that's about it

I would welcome Lee, even though he would demand a lot of money

Not a fan of David Lee unless he is a MLE player that you give 20 something minutes to a game.
Sure he rebounds like an animal, but his defense is just horrid and even though it is improving, his offense isn't very good either.
Don't want to play him more then maybe 25 minutes per game, wouldn't want to tie up the cap for more then around 5 mill a season for that type of player.

It should tell you something when a team such as the Knicks, who have never hesitated to shell out millions and millions of dollars to sign guys over what they are worth are reluctant to do the same for Lee.

Of course he would get playing time but at the $ he wants he probably isnt a good fit.

is Lee that terrible of a defender???? I dont watch many Knicks games but he seems like he is a smart bball player would at a minimum make the right rotations and be a good team/help defender. He probably isnt the best one-one defender b/c he isnt the most athletic and isnt a great leaper but maybe he would be a nice fit. Perhaps we could do a S&T for Simmons and the # 1????? Im just syaing, maybe it isnt out of the realm of possibilities. Maybe he wants to stay in the metro area...

If Lee got his jump shot consistent, I'd love him on the Nets. I doubt the Knicks would trade in the division unless they were fleecing us though.
