With the NBA Champions crowned (everyone outside LA boos again), the next big event for the NBA is the NBA Draft. Feel free to talk anything that has to do with the draft here. Videos and articles on players and mock drafts and your personal draft board lists are very much welcome.

I still want Clarke or Johnson, but I'm leaning in favor of Clark more now compared to last week.

I read this morning that BJ Mullins pulled out of our workout because he got a promise from a team. Didn't say what team or anything, but that since he knows he's a 1st rounder, he doesn't give a damn about working out anymore.

I like the McClinton had a great workout. I'd kill to buy a 2nd round pick to get him. He'd be a great shooter off the bench for us.

My two guys right now are Terrence Williams and Blair. I'd love either. I know we have power forwards but I don't really care about Boone/Williams/Anderson etc. They shouldn't block a PF pick because they're on the roster. Williams is so versatile and is going to be a great defender. I'd pass on Blair if they're that worried about his knees, but who knows. If they take him then they don't mind his medical reports and I'd love the pick.

Hansbrough would suck at 11 but I read that they might look to acquire another pick. I'd definitely take him in the 20s if Williams was the first pick. DraftExpress also had great stuff to say on how Paul Harris worked out. Another potential lockdown defender with a ridiculous body. I haven't even seen him drafted in any recent mocks. He could be a great low-risk high reward pick if they could grab a second rounder. I just want them to find a player(s) with a winning attitude in addition to talent.

My head hurts with all the scenario's being put forward. Now the mock draft has us taking brandon jennings not saying we should do it but this is like 20th player put up that we should draft. Don't even get me started on the trades. I guess this is where the gm's and scouts earn thier coin. Glad it's them and not me.

Roll on June 25th. I can't stand it anymore.

Cheers

Williams and Henderson are two of the players in the draft who I don't really have a good feel for so as it stands I'd be happy with Earl Clark. I feel like drafting Johnson at 11 is actually a bit high but I wouldn't cry if he was taken.

If we could trade down for Johnson and land a 2nd rounder to take Pargo or McClinton, I'd be pretty pumped though.

What about #11 to Minny for #18 & #28 if we were dead set on Johnson and knew he'd be there. Then draft Johnson and either Mills or Collison or something?

I agree with you word for word!..Lol.....I wish I had more time like I did years ago when I could really get into it. It's great to have a resource like realgm Nets board to get info from the die heart regulars. What usually happens to me is a few days before the draft I'm up all night looking at draft info and the next day I have one eye open at work.....

If we're not trading and we only had to pick those 5, Clark is a no brainer.

I still like James Johnson though, but now I feel we can get him lower, which would require a trade, which is why I didn't select "other"

Should I just give you guys Clark? Is it worth waiting over, or is this obvious?

We had another person come on the board last week and the majority went James Johnson. I think tomorrow we'll have a better handle on what we're gonna do because Johnson and Clark worked out against each other today.

As we get closer to the draft, im slowly leaning towards just drafting Ty H... I think we need a player like him, somebody that is tough and can get a lot of fouls. He can rebound and showed he can shoot the short jumpers. The more i watch Clark and Johnson from my DVR, which i recorded during the college season and never erased it for this purpose, the more im getting less excited about picking them. For me, they're not that special and less energetic than the ones projected to go after them. I think i will pass on both of them and just simply go for the winner and once was a college POY in Ty H. Now, if somehow Clark was picked before 11 then i'd be more happy to draft any of my top four PG/G (outside Rubio) Curry, Derozan, Holiday and Flynn. Heck, i'd even put Lawson ahead of Clark and Johnson if it was my call. But if i have to choose from the two, i'd rather go with Johnson.

A better scenario would be, if we can't trade up, trade down and draft Ty H. then take an SG/SF type late in the 1st round or early 2nd, or maybe Casspi if they really like him.

All I know is if we draft a guy like Tyler, we better package a couple guys (williams/boone) to free up some time for him and add another player in a need position.

I haven't seen Johnson or Clark play so i'm gonna switch my vote and rock with the JerseyBoy Clark allday.

NJ.com:Their styles are dissimilar, and the difference in body type is striking: Clark measured out at 6-10, 225 pounds at the recent predraft physicals in Chicago; Johnson was 6-7, 257.

I didn't no Clark was that tall. Then again they list SeanWills at 6-10 and he's barely 6-9 with shoes on.

I'm hopin for someone like Hill or DeRozen to slide in that cas eI'd take them but if not then Clark all day. He's a complete player, works on both ends, can be a starter in this league. The knocks on him are dumb and don't really bother me. Clark would be my pick. If I had to choose someone definately not to pick it would be Flynn.
