Vince Carter Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by Rich Rane » Thu Jun 25, 2009 9:21 pm

He's a great guy to be around. Always made highlight reels more interesting...but enough about me.

Feel free to post all Vince Carter highlights here. We know there were many of them. In cases like SIC, you could also wave him goodbye.

Sad to see him go, but happy as a VC fan that he has a chance for a title at this age instead of waiting another 2 years.

Ode to Vince, my favorite current player in the NBA.

I remember the day I heard we got him, it was around 2PM and I was in my car. I had just happened to get off work early and just hit the liquor store before hand.

I got in my car and turned onmy all time least favorite sports talk radio guys, Mike and the Mad Dog and literally a few minutes later they broke the story, might have been Minko.

I was driving back to my house blairing my horn and yelling out the window like I just graduated highschool

It was a good ride good dude, good luck in Orlando, hopefully we see an Orlando/San An Finals, with either Denver or Dallas in there for the Western conference Finals.

Still can't believe Ryan Anderson is headed out as well.

Basically we salary dumped VC and both sides just felt like swapping last year's 21st and 22nd picks.

man, this is an amazing day for me today!
Vince gets to go home PLUS compete for a championship. Awesome!
True, he wont get as many shots in Orlando with the stars around him, but I am more than happy to see a lesser role for VC and be on a contender than have a lesser role on a 30-win team

Games are going to be tied with 20 seconds left in the 4th?

Come on, I needed that laugh, especially with the news of Michael Jackson. There's always Harris. He hit some nice buzzer beaters for us this season.

I'm gonna miss Vince a crap load. We better turn these expirings into Boozer or Amare though.

I'm also glad Vince is going to a legit team.

He was my favorite player but I'm overall happy
I'm happy for him that he can finally compete for a ring

And I'm happy for our future because we were able to get the expirings and a nice solid young player in Lee

man im gunna miss some of his amazing plays. Those game winners against Toronto, the 3 at the buzzer against Utah, the dunk on Alonzo, all of those crazy layups. He was fun to watch. Im glad to see him get to compete for a ring in Orlando.
