Jay Williams To Attempt Comeback At Nets Camp This Fall

Post#1 » by Shaq_Diesel » Wed Jul 22, 2009 10:48 pm

Probably a long shot, but Jayson will attempt a return to the Nets this fall.

A friend of mine plays pick-up ball with him all the time, and Jayson told him about the plans to comeback, not saying he'll make it, but he'll be in camp with NJ.

Interesting, I don't think there's a spot for him on the team but at least he'll get some exposure.

Didn't he try this with us last year?
Good luck to him anyway, but I think it's a crazy longshot.

It's beyond a longshot actually. He has a ZERO PERCENT chance unless we clear a roster spot right now lol.

Everytime I think of J-Will now I think about Kevin Love's comment he made about his this season. Sad but hilarious at the same time.

“If I was going with an agent, why would I ever go with a guy who, no offense, but he crashed a motorcycle into a tree. I’m not going to go with a guy that’s reckless.” - Kevin Love

Hold on one sec I need some clarification here. Jay Williams (Duke) little point guard. He tried to come back with us before. Or Jason Williams (my finger slipped) forward who grabs all the rebounds. No chance that guy is in camp with us Shaq-diesel you must crazy there's no way he's in camp. Jay i can see because he's been there with us before not the other one. Why bring that into camp with our young guys.

Jay Williams who shot his limo driver cannot be coming to camp. How bad of a PR move would that be. Plus he's gearing up for another trial, not to mention he seems to be going through a nervous breakdown from the stress of the last few year. Oh and the fact he had to retire because he broke his leg like 6 times (exaggerating).

This has to be the Jay Williams from Duke, who is a New Jersey product, who crashed his motorcycle into a tree, who has tried to make our roster before and is not an basketball analyst for ESPN.

There is no way that this could possibly be about Jayson Williams.

Jason Williams (Duke), on the other hand... Man, I hope he makes it back. He had so, so much potential. Such a sad story.

It's a sad story when you think about the potential he had (disregarding he couldn't hit foul shots in big game situations basically EVER), but I can't be too sympathetic towards him. He crashed his bike when numerous reports were talking about him driving it carelessly. He ruined his career. Also, Chicago could have voided his contract and him not make a dime, but they bought him out for all the money he was guaranteed, which Chicago legally did not have to do. Jay is no a pretty decent basketball analyst and is most likely making some decent money.

For those reason's I'm not overly sympathetic for his situation. Now Screech some Saved By The Bell you ask? That's another story. I feel bad for that guy.

Yeah, he did something stupid. And yes, he was lucky that the Bulls didn't void his contract. What really, really sucks is that we haven't had the opportunity to watch him play for the past 6 years. Dude could have been GREAT.

This is Jayson Williams, like I already said. Not the Duke PG, the PF/C who went to St. John's and played for the Nets.

Of all the guys I could come in here and make a rumor up about, why would I choose Jayson Williams? I'm telling you straight from what the man said, the Nets will have him in camp this fall to tryout.

^^^^^I'm sure the Nets won't have no team meetings at his crib.He might be able to talk Yi into coming over though.
