Just curious whats his official status with your team? I always like his game because he's a defender first and foremost and was a prolific shot blocker in his collage career, his offensive game is well raw now to be fair. Just curious what you guys would want for him in a trade with Toronto. DeRozen Bargnani, Bosh, Jose and Hedo are off limits one for one unless you want to make the deal bigger. I think he would be a great addition to The Raptors since he can play the 4 and 5 and be great depth for us.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Sean Williams question(s)
- Management seems fine with moving him, but aren't going to just give him away (if he was that bad of an influence on the team they would have moved him for nothing already)
- He was in the dog house for a while last year, got out of it, and then picked up a computer and threw it across a cell phone store (needless to say he was back in the dog house after that one)
- As for what I want from the Raptors... To be honest nothing that the Raptors would reasonably part with.
If the Nets made other moves (unloaded one of Rafer or Keyon), I could live with acquiring Roko + a second rounder, not sure if the Raptors would give up that second rounder but I still like Sean's potential and think that if Lawrence Frank was more lenient with him (on the court) he'd be a nice fit next to Brook Lopez.

I like SWAT, I don't think we should move him. He is perfect on backing up Brook. Last year even though he sucked he played with ALOT of energy and was very aggressive in every play. He is perfect if we player zone defense great on the weak side and very fast and very athletic to run in transition. He is the perfect guy to put in when we go small.

Re: Sean Williams question(s)
Thanks NetsForce for the quick response and the detailed one. I am aware of Williams off court antics it's a shame really the guy could be a defensive specialist. Roko + a 2nd for Williams would be a steal for Toronto and if that's all it took I would buy Roko's ticket to NJ.

Re: Sean Williams question(s)
I'd be willing to bet that SWAT is pretty available. I'd have to think a future pick and/or taking Najera could get SWAT. I'm having trouble coming up with a SWAT/Najera deal that works without having to take Marcus Banks back (puke), so instead....
Sean Williams for Patrick O'Bryant, Quincy Douby (cut), a 2nd rounder and maybe a little cash.
I doubt POB turns into anything more than a 7-foot version of Ager, but this deal gives NJ a big to replace Sean and a draft pick. Since Douby isn't guaranteed, this deal nets Ratner about $770K and that's assuming no cash exchanges hands.
I'd rather not deal with Roko and his guaranteed contract. I know it's not much, but it still eats into our cap space. I'd rather just decline SWAT's 2010/11 option and let him expire than take on Roko.

Re: Sean Williams question(s)
I think the reason a lot of guys haven't been moved yet is because they don't want 1 or the other. For my sanity I have to believe the Nets have been trying to package Swat/Najera or Najera/Hassel or Dooling/Najera for 1 player in return or 2 guys (one having a partial guarantee to be bought out). Normally I think these types of deals go down in September or early October. I'm hoping we can at least get out of Najera's contract by then.

Re: Sean Williams question(s)
I don't care what we do with Sean, he regressed badly last season to the point where I'd be surprised if he ever amounts to anything other than 12-13th man he's projected to be.
