Haha funny but no. He won't play point next year but this is nice to see hopefully we see some of that for us next year. Last season we didn't see anything like that, he never put the ball on the floor. Now he's going coast to coast. Maybe he finally gets it. He can be a huge mismatch for other teams if he uses his speed and handle against slower PF's. Also I hear that he's working on a nice jump hook. Yi is gonna be the guy to watch this year.

Clearly there is more to his game. Unfortunately Frank doesnt know how to use his players. Yi is a versatile player but Frank didnt put him in a position to do so.
That BS dribble drive experiment was a waste. I am not totally against it but the whole hype about it last summer as a FAD because of what Memphis did in the NCAA tournament the year before.

It felt like last year whenever he got the ball last year he shot it.
I think him just actually passing the ball might be an improvement.

Last year with that dribble Drive system is more of a open shooting system. You move and pass the ball until someone is open to shoot it. Think of the Harlem Globe Trotters Weave. So of course he is somewhat going to be open. The man guarding him is a PF so if they dont move quick enough Yi will be open. Clearly he is a better post up and drive player then we thought because Frank is stubborn and never really changes offense until summer camp where he creates a new offense. Then we lose games trying to figure out offense only mid season to realize the offense doesnt work. Then next summer he creates a new one then the process starts all over.

Ya gotta like his assertiveness, but let's not forget that he's playing against scrubs. The real test is when the season starts.

Great footage, tid.
This just shows how Frank is an idiot.
Low post wait for the double team and pass out. Frank should have implemented this late last season with Lopez. Now lets see if he changes the offense. With Yi and Lopez, this would be a nightmare for teams. They both have the ability to pass out of the post. Frank is an idiot.

Hate to break your bubbles... one of Yi's main problem in the post is that HE CAN"T DRIBBLE! How many times he turned it over when he tried that?
Can one summer makes that much difference? I sure hope so, but again seeing is believing.
