question about Ryan Anderson

First off I'd like to say that you guys are gonna love Courtney Lee - great D and pretty good offensively -fundamentally sound with good BB IQ and you'll never seen him get rattled. As a Magic fan it was real tough to see him go.
My question is did Ryan Anderson ever play SF while in NJ. In the Magic pf depth chart his minutes are gonna be very limited behind Rashard Lewis and Brandon Bass unless an injury occurs. So does he have the ability to play and defend SF?

I personally don't think he's quick enough to play the 3. I guess it depends on who you have the the court though. It could be a possibility for short stints if you have guys that play good help defense, but Ryan isn't a 3 at least defensively. You guys spread the floor so well on offense though that you could probably get buy with him there though so the middle doesn't get clogged.

He played next to no small forward as a Net. What I can tell you is that Anderson can't guard small forwards, he can probably play the position in spot minutes if the matchup is right (if he's matched up against a Ryan Gomes for example).
If he's on the court with Lewis at any point in time though it would make more sense to let him play PF and move Lewis to SF...
Aside from his quickness the main problem with Anderson at SF is that his dribble is too mechanical.
