Nets - Heat trade?

How about this trade?

Heat receives Lee and Alston

Nets receives James Jones, Quinn and Cook plus a 2nd round pick.

No. Courtney Lee is probably worth more than that entire package... And I don't even have very high expectations for the kid, it's just looking at what the Nets have and what they need your package isn't that attractive (though I have some interest in Cook (no homo) I'd rather run with CDR, Lee, and Williams at the 2-3 hoping at least 1 of them pans out).

If you want Alston... You'd probably have to swing Haslem the Nets way, AND find a way to lessen the logjam at power forward for the Nets.

Why would we want that package? Havent you heard!!! We are liquidating!!! Why would we add those to our cap? They dont help us anyway.

Like Netsforce said, Maybe Haslem works. I would rather picks and Joel Anthony.

Alston character is questionable.
What if he wants out of New Jersey because he's not happy with the losing and playing time with Dooling and D. Harris? Are the Nets going to trade him? Or waive him considering its hard to find a player with expiring contract too?

IMO, I dont think the Heat will give the Nets their starting PF in Haslem just to have a back-up PG like Alston. If the Heat will trade a player for Alston, its maybe a SF where they have a nos. of player playing in that position.

Beasley for Lee?!!! Heat trading Beasley for Lee just to have one season of Alston!!!

The reason I include Lee and Cook in the deal is because I thought Lee wants out with New Jersey. If I'm wrong, you can have him and Miami keeps the defending NBA all-star 3 point shoot out champion.

I agree with D' Winner, Miami will not trade a starting PF for a back-up PG. If you dont like the trade, its fine. We're not so so high with Alston. I propose the deal because I thought you have a load at PG and one must go, and Miami is in need of depth at PG.

Pat Riley is not stupid to trade Beasley for Lee just to have a back-up PG for a season. Miami is stable at SG.

Uh Sean and Beasley in the same locker room? The combined second hand smoke would kill the rest of the team...

Including Lee in that smashy trashy package you proposed would be the equivalent of me coming to the Heat board and proposing a Haslem/Chalmers for Najera/Hassell/Boone/2nd rounder swap.
Just think about that...

You know I was being sarcastic and in no way was serious about a Lee for Beasley swap right?

Yeah man green text means he's joking.

Just curious though about the part I highlighted...do you read the newspaper? Even when there were national attention (not just local in Jersey because I understand you aren't from the area), the only things came out were quotes from players NOT named Courtney Lee about him being sad he was traded. Even with those quotes that came from various mouths other than Courtney's, NOBODY ever said Courtney wanted out of Jersey. It's one thing to not fact check a situation on the draft board because there are morons on that board (myself included), but try to reasearch a little before a statement like that is made on a team's board.

I don't really like Beasley, but to be unbiased about it, that offer isn't there yet.
I think you have to replace the Dallas pick with the GSW pick and add Lee and that depends on how exactly you view Lee.
Beasley's value is at a low in fans eyes and at a fake low in GM's eyes.
He's tough to trade for and I don't see Miami moving him unless they get real value back and they might. but it's a sticky situation(ooh wee!).

I could see Alston or Dooling, plus Boone and Battie for Haslem and Wright.
Then you're honestly starting to talk about us looking like a playoff team, whichi is good or bad depending on how you view things.

Miami's offer are

Q-Rich for Alston & Hassel
Or Dorell for Dooling

Return to Brooklyn Nets
