Here is the link for the Nets training camp preview. It's a pretty good read and DD makes a lot of excellent points. A few things that stuck out to me were:
1. S. WIll will be the back up 4
2. The comitment to Defense
3. Make or break year for Yi
4. Offense is gonna run through Lopez in the post
5. T. Will's best position may be point guard
All in all I'm excited about this season to see what we got. Pumped about T. Will and CDR these two are gonna be the glue to this team next year. Looking for solid D and lots of fast breaks because our depth sould help us run and stay fresh. Lopez is the key in my mind more then anyone, even Harris. We are gonna struggle to score in the half court without a doubt. Lopez is gonna be to us what Duncan is to the Spurs, how far Lopez develops is how far we go because he's gonna be the focal point in half court sets. Even though playoffs are a long shot this should be a fun team to watch develop.

Please those things should have been emphasized last year. Defense we can blame the whole team. SWAT playing the 4 should have happened last year, but with this dribble drive the Coach and other people thought because he didnt have a jumper it wouldnt work. Before the Allstar game this should have been emphasized more. Limit the dribble drive and add more post plays. The pick and roll thing was ok but clearly this guy need more touches in the post last year.

Yeah but this year we have better defensive players so that should help. Of coarse they preached D, every team does, we just didn't have very good individual defenders. SWAT is a dumb player hands down thats why he doesn't play, oh and the little radio shack incident didn't help. This is his last shot to make an impact and he's gonna have a short leash so we'll see waht happens. It's so hard to give up on a guy with that kind of potential though.
