This guy is awesome! He is definitely one of the hardest players in our team. (the only news i hear from him is how hard he work) Also he has the confidence to become something great. However, he doesn't have all-star talent. What do you think this guy's full potential will be in his prime?

CDR has to develop a more all-around game. Right now all he does is score, score, and score some more... Though he is doing that well, for now I think it's best to bring him off the bench.

I don't really like projecting what a guy will be like in his prime let alone a year from now, but I think CDR definitely has the tools to be an impact-level starter.

I like CDR's game a lot, but he has to work on being a facilitator.
His defense has shown to be markedly improved and all around very good though, which is a insanely important part of the game that gets overlooked so often.

Him and Brook are our best off-ball scorers. He is fantastic with his cuts without the ball and can get into the lane pretty much at will with the ball. Once he establishes himself as a scorer he will need to work on his passing ability, but that will only emerge after he learns how to deal with defenses adjusting to him.

I think he can become a 3rd scorer in the league with a similar impact to Rip Hamilton.

yeah he's an interesting prospect. . . He seems to be a bit of a tweener hving the body of a SG with the game of a SF (which is why he dropped. Things he does well hustle, slash, score. Things he needs to improve 3pt shot, strength, passing. I see him being a possible 6th man on a championship team because he can come in a light it up at anytime. What makes him tough is he is very unorthidox with his shots and that makes him tough to defend.

According to him, he had another growth spurt over the summer and is now a legit 6'7.5.

CDR...slowly but surely I becoming more comfortable with the concept CDR can be more than just a role player...but some of you guys are light years ahead of me in regards to what type of player I think CDR is now...

CDR is a solid scorer, and i think he has the tools and put the work in to become a much better defender and rebounder

he still has to add a little play making to his game, but i can see flashes of that too.

If CDR can gain consistency in his jumper, he's basically our present day Kerry Kittles. Great coming off screens, good court vision for his size, above average perimeter defender. CDR is a better ball handler but Kerry was a better shooter. Either way, I like how CDR is progressing. I hope his hard work translates on the court.

^I don't think he's an above average perimeter defender. He's a good help defender and he's great at recovering when beaten but he's not very good at keep his guy in front of him.

he is not like kerry kittles

i think hes more of a slasher than a shooter, if you look @ him play when he puts the ball down on the floor hes looking to get to the bucket.

Haha so you're taking one facet of his game and saying he's not like Kerry? I said he needs to improve his jump shot to be more like Kerry. So where Kerry lacked the slashing game, CDR is better and where Kerry had the solid jumper, CDR is still developing. Everything else I see distinct similarities. CDR has the ability as long as he keeps working to be a more complete player, but I think the comparison is valid for the most part.

I just drafted CDR with my last pick in my Fantasy League (20 teams & 10 players deep) and I'm looking for info.

Will he be a starter this year ?

What kind of stats do you expect him to have ?

1. He won't start if Lee is healthy.
2. Expect for him to contribute primarily in PTS + FT% (CDR is a bit one-dimensional right now)
3. He's played so well as of late that I think he's locked himself into the 6th man role.

There is some upside with CDR so for a 20 team league you did alright to get him with your last pick.

Terrance Williams probably would have been a better choice just because he's likely to be a stat stuffer. The guy gets a ton of boards and assists for a wing player, not to mention he's being talked about as a defensive stopper. His big drawback would be FT% though.

Eh I'd say Williams biggest drawbacks are going to be his FG%, FT%, and the fact that he plays for Lawrence Frank who is notorious for limiting the amount of minutes rookies get.

Yeah, we have so much depth at the wings and Frank won't let a rook play through too many mistakes if he can help it.

Impressive pre-season I like the energy and speed with him starting.

That is the starting line up I think the Nets should use. I hope it happens.
