We have to fire Frank. This team should've won atleast a game this is just ridiculous. Injury is not an excuse. Look at the Rocket 7-5 record WITHOUT T-Mac and Yao. I know the Nets players do make stupid decision at times but most is to blame on why the team is loosing is frank. Plus we need some kind of Leader and Frank is no leader

You don't fire Frank yet.
If you fire him now with so many guys injured the new coach will come in and suck / the team still won't win many games AND the new coach will get a bad rep. / potentially lose the backing of fans and the players themselves.

FIRE FRANK!!!! THREE YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!
The funny thing is that when the guys get healthy Frank is going to send everyone back to end of the bench and Simmons is going to play PF. The starting line up will be : Harris, Lee, CDR, Simmons, Lopez.
Boone will not start. Swill will not play. Frank will make some excuse why Hassel isnt defending the best player on the opposing team. Twill will come off the bench to play whatever position.
What a crock of roach pooo!!

Were you thinking about the prospects of T-Mac and Yao playing together again?

Lawrence Frank has his work cut out from him. Once the roster is at full strength, he'll be on the 'hot seat' for sure. But maybe a loss to the Knicks might be a good reason to....haha

I agree with syj805. Frank is not gonna get fired now. But, once this team gets st full strenght, he“ll be on the hot seat. And i really doubt that he will return next season.

Tell that to the Rick Adelman or Jerry Sloan(when he had Kirlinko as his main scorer)

I actually was about to make a "Fire Frank" thread, but I'll put my protest here.
I, Preludepunk27, have not shaved since the Nets first loss. Originally it was a joke between my friends that I wouldn't shave until the Nets one a game. So here it is November 19th and I'm officially fed up. My beard has now become a "Fire Frank Beard." I understand he's dealt win injuries and we played some decent teams early on, but we've had a NUMBER of games already we should have one. You can't tell me that this team, injuries and all, is as bad as this that they couldn't accidently win one. I have never until this moment came out and flat out said "We need to fire Lawrence Frank," but I've had it officially. I cannot stand sucking, but getting reassuring comments from management and peers. In ball, that same things happened to Manny Acta with the Nationals where he was highly regarded around the league. Ya know what though? His @$$ got canned.
I don't care that Frank's contract is up at the end of the season. I want him gone from my memory now. We need a widely respected veteran coach for this team. Our young guys are high character, talented guys who CLEARLY show their willingness to listen, learn and develop. We need a vet coach who has been around the block and can show these willing players we have how to get to where they want to be.
The beard stays until Frank is fired. I ask others to participate.

I say we need some kind of emotional coach that can get this team fired up and A lot of confidence. I say Avery Johnson is the perfect coach for us

Avery Johnson is the worst possible coach for this team.
Devin Harris hates Avery Johnson. Avery was the one who pushed to trade Devin. Avery's voice is ANNOYING AS HELL.
Keep this team AvFree.

Bruce Pearl was the guy I wanted for a while because I thought he was a very good college coach, had the smarts to step up to the pros, had the ability to motivate our young kids and the emotion I want in a coach...he'd never leave UT though and I think we need a guy with more pro-experience now.
I like Avery Johnson, but I think he's too much in the mold of Lawrence Frank, albeit a better version. The guy is defense focused which I love and relies heavily on the ISO-offense Nets fans have grown to hate. Because we are so damn guard heavy though, and Avery was a great PG in his playing days, he may be able to identify with a lot of our guys more and also possibly open up the offense a little more than he was allowed to in Dallas. He is the best coach out there right now with decent experience so it's a good route to explore.

I am pretty sure Avery Johnson is Devin Harris's mentor. And I am 100% sure he did not want to trade Devin Harris at all

I am 100% sure he wanted to trade Devin Harris. He tried to spin things the other way AFTER he was fired, but if you look at all of his actions his and comments while in Dallas and couple that with DEVIN'S own sentiments on Avery then it's clear as day that the two were never on the same page.

idk I just remembered after the trade was made, I remember on the press he said he didn't want to talk about it. Which is a sign of resentfulness. I remember when he got fired he went said he did not want to trade Harris.

I agree with whoever said don't fire him at least until Devin is back.
If he loses to the Knicks with Harris though, that is it.
As someone said on NetsDaily, he started 13-0, he should leave on 0-13!

What a game? 0-13? NICE!!!!!!
For all those think that Frank should stay, This game shows you that Frank isnt going to help this team.
Funny how Harris gets back into the lineup, and Frank reverts right back to his usually ways, SMALL BALL, Simmons at PF. Frank is an idiot. Simmons was semi-productive at SF and needs to only play SF. I dont get it.
Another thing, FRANK IS AN IDIOT. We have been playing with 8 men for weeks now, WHY WOULD YOU PLAY ALSON, HARRIS, and TWILL ON THE COURT TOGETHER? ALL YOUR PGs ON THE COURT AT THE SAME TIME. LOL!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!
Granted I am not a big fan of Boone, but only 9 guys there is no reason why he didnt get more PT. Boone should be Lopez' backup C. No excuse for him not got give Lopez a breather.
I could go on an on about this game.
I have a new theory on how to convince Thorn to get rid of Frank.
Thorn, if you respect and admire Frank so much, fire him or have him resign, because Thorn, as a friend, you wouldnt want Frank to have 0-18 on his resume.
