How Much Would Yi Have Impacted the Nets?

Yi played in the first four games of the season for the Nets and played pretty well for two games. He looked like he improved a bit in those games. I think they would have won at least two with him in the lineup. What do ya'll think?

I think he would definitely have had a positive impact.
I am not a Yi supporter, but he looked markedly improved in his first few games.
Definitely would have won a couple if we had him in the lineup.

He would have helped no doubt. . . No because he's some crazy allstar but we're playing Hassell and SWAT there and he's much better then them. He's good for 17 and 8 on a given night which is better then what we got.
Everytime he looks like he's ready to play better and more consistent like last year and the begining of this year he gets hurt and it sets him back.

Good question. Maybe one game.... There's no question about his offensive arsenal, but the team needs stops. Personally, he still has a lot of work to do in that department.

Yeah I love Yi. I want him to succeed. His movements are too mechanical and anticipated from everything I see right now. That will change as he gets smarter and understands the NBA better and gets a better coach lol. We'll see what happens. Obviously we all wish he would turn into Dirk, now I'm hoping he can be like a more physical Bargnani which I'd still be stoked about.
We'll see. Even if he's a career 6-7 man, I'm gonna be happy with him as long as he develops consistancy. Del Harris may be able to help with that.

I would be extremely happy if he could just become a consistent 11 and 5 guy off the bench for 20 minutes a game as long as he played solid defense and did it on good percentages.

Read this article the morning. Dammit. Screw you Sean Williams! I've been patiently waiting for weeks to add Yi to my fantasy team...shh don't tell my other competitors lol
BTW Yi is said to be set-back another week. He will be re-evaluated on the 14th.

At least we have a punchline to the question, "how hard does Yi suck?"!

(so hard he needs 50 stitches on his lips)
Seriously though, I'm sad to hear that Yi had this setback. We could really use another weapon in the interior, and Boone/SWAT/Battie/Najera just aren't that kind of guy.
I wonder if they will wait for his stitches to heal, which could be well into January, or trot him out with some contraption over his mouth. I'd just as soon Yi stay out until his wounds have mended. We're already bad enough, we don't need a symbol of our ineptitude in the form of a 7-footer tromping up and down the court in a Hannibal Lecter mask!

50 stitches on his lip? I don't get that.If it were Twills now that would make sense but Yi ? he doesn't even have lips.

His is scheduled to return to games on December 23rd, sooner than I expected. For some reason, I have a feeling that Yi is going to beast when he returns (yes, sig this if you like). He's been bothered by little injuries, and with the latest lip setback, I figured he'd milk it for more time off. Maybe I'm reading too much into the situation, but coming back from a SERIOUS lip laceration in just two weeks tells me he's been dying to help out his struggling teammates.
