Would u trade Brooke Lopez for Andrew Bogut

Brooke Lopez is having a great year, but his stats have been inflated due to him being the only offensive option and his team equalling the record for the worst record in history. He shoots a much worse shooting percentage than bogut. Bogut has similar stats to Lopez yet Boguts team is currently second in their division and is likely to make the playoffs yet Lopez team has only won 2 games. Would you trade Lopez for a potential all star calibre centre such as bogut who is having a career year and has only just turned 25? Discuss?

Rediculous....
You can't tell me you honestly think Lopez is as good as bogut. He is having a great season but he is the only option on a poor team. Put him on any other team and he would be the 2nd if lucky, most likely 3rd option. Chris

Bogut suck, he is one of the biggest bust at #1 overall picks.
Lopez is only 21 and already putting up all-star numbers, and don't tell me his number is inflated because his FG% is high. And like you said since he is the only player in this team he gets double team A LOT. So his number should be higher
Anyway the only fair trade I can think of is Bobby Simmons for Bogut and 3 number one picks
Bobby Simmons would be a great fit for your team since he is a shooter and will play well with Jennings

Bogut has a far better field goal percentage than Lopez and is having a career year on a playoff team. Jennings is a fantastic addition to the bucks and is a great fit for Bogut. Most project Bogut making the all star team over Lopez this year as a reserve.
You cant judge bogut for his first 4 years in the league as he played under ball hogs such as redd and mo.
Only now is he finally getting the touches and living up the potential we all had for him when he came into the league.
This year he has better stats than bynum in every category except points, 1.6 behind and closing the gap fast.
There is no way you would trade bogut for just lopez, you need more than around 20 strong games from Lopez to even open the discussion up lol.

I can't wait till the bucks and nets go head to head soon, Bogut will absolutely dominate Lopez in all departments, only then you will be silenced. He is a better all round player and has far smarter basketball IQ and smarts. His only downside is that it took till his fifth year to realise his potential whilst Lopez did alot sooner. Im looking forward to the bucks versus lakers this Wednesday, Bogut is going to absolutely monster Bynum. Have you been watching the stats Bynum is putting up lately, his numbers are massively dipping since the return of Pau and will be lucky to finish up the season averaging 15ppg and 8rebs. I am dumbfounded that he is getting 12 mill a season to Bogut's 10mill, how can the Lakers justify that.
You only have inflated views of Lopez because he plays for your team. He isn't getting this love on any other fan boards on realgm. Yes hes playing a great season, but come on.

ROTFL. Come on man... Andrew Glassgut for Lopez? You know how much of a beast Lopez is at his age? Bogut is injured half the damn season anyway, he's getting paid nice cash as well, terrible trade.

Bogut is having a career year and his stats are similar to Lopez. Brook is still learning he's gonna get better and in two years when Brook is putting up 20 and 10 we can all look back on the thread and laugh man we could of had Bogut for him. Haha good one.

This trade makes no sense for the Nets. I won't say Bogut sucks but Lopez is a younger center who arguably is every bit as good as Bogut if not better. Not to mention this is Lopez's 2nd year in the league and he's already playing at the level he's at.
It's natural to suspect that when he gets to Bogut's age and experience right now, he'll be even further along in development. Then you can also consider injury issues...Things could change but Lopez has been remarkably durable thus far. A more fair comparison would probably be Bynum/Lopez.

Bogut doesn't suck he's actually pretty good. - free throw shooting aside - I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that he's better than Lopez this year (I can see the argument not that I agree with it), but there are some things to keep in mind:
1. Bogut is a a 5 year 25 year old player. Brook Lopez is a 2 year 21 year old player.
2. Bogut hasn't exactly led his team anywhere these past 5 years so I'm not sure how you can go criticize Lopez for being on a 2 win TEAM.
3. Speaking of a 2 win team, replace Lopez with Bogut and you still have a 2 win team at best. This TEAM's faults run deeper than Lopez.
4. It's not necessarily easier to put up good stats on a bad team, with defenses showing Bogut the pressure Lopez faces there's no way Bogut would average 20 ppg...
Basically long story this year Bogut is playing well and so is Brook Lopez. Factoring in potential and age you'd be crazy not to take Lopez over Bogut.

If you put Bogut on the Nets now, you would have won more than 2 games, don't you worry about that. Bogut makes players around him better and is the most underrated player in the NBA right now. If Bogut had of started his career in the Nets in the same position as Lopez, I have no doubt he would be a perenial all star by now. Bogut took his team to the playoffs in his first season in the league after a dismal season for the bucks the season before, he was the only one in the draft to bring his team to the playoffs from that scenario the season before. I can't say the same for Lopez.
Would Lopez be scoring 19ppg if he had a crazy ball hog like Michael Redd and Mo Williams to contend with in his first two seasons with both taking over 20-25 shots per game, i think not. He simply wouldnt be getting the touches. They are both shoot first pass never guards. Lopez has nobody to take shots on the team so of course he is going to get a crazy ammount of opportunities which only benefits him as it helps him develop his game. If Bogut was on the nets and they were looking to him in every possession its only natural he would be scoring a hell of a lot more points. Hell Lopez only shoots .491% from the field, please in case you didnt realise Bogut is shooting .530 field goal. Can you imagine how many more points he would be scoring if he were the one taking those shots. He has simply never had that opportunity on the bucks up until now and just look at the devasting results we are seeing in the 09 Bogut because of it. He is only going to get better and many people forget that Bogut has only just turned 25 a month ago. Do you really think when the bucks play the nets that Lopez is going to dominate Bogut, i cannot wait to see your reaction when that doesn;t happen.

Bogut = .530 field goal, Lopez = .490 field goal which is a very telling factor.

I love how you dont bring up boguts 56% free throw percentage. and please explain to me how 9 points and 7 rebounds in 28 minutes a game your rookie season is leading your team to the playoffs??
oh and i just checked it out, in the one playoff appeareance milwaukee has had with bogut, 5 games, 9 points 8 rebounds. youre never going to win this argument. ever. not even with a bucks fan. if bogut is so much greater than lopez why are you asking if we would consider a trade of the two?

Explain to me how this team would win more when our biggets problem this year has been offense. As far as I'm concerned, Lopez is miles ahead of Bogut offensively. Despite shooting a lower percentage he averages 4 more points while only taking 1.7 more shots per game. Add the fact that no one double and triple team Bogut, if he were on the Nets, he'd be lucky to average 13..
And like revolutionistt said. How does a 9-7 center carry a team to the playoffs?? He wasn't even the best Center on the team...

This debate is laughable. I wouldn't have traded Brook for Bogut the night we drafted him, let alone now. He's 21 years old and already a top 5 center in the east in my opinion. Some may say otherwise to that statement and, I admit it's kind of rash on my part, but I believe it. He's a cornerstone to our team's future. We only give him up in a trade similar to the Al Jeff/Fillers for KG deal. Plain and simple, he is the most untouchable player on our roster as of this moment. I'm sorry...Bogut is no KG, therefore I will pass. Even if I was dying in a gutter and you said you had the only known antidote to my sickness and you'd give it to me if I signed off on trading Brook for Bogut, I'd let myself die.
