Guy's I can't see many games. Please give me updates, opinions and general feedback on this guy. He seems to be a good stat guy. But is he a good defender/ helper and mental toughness?

He's played with some energy, commited some hard fouls. He's been aggressive in taking it to the rim and drawing fouls. He's gotten stripped a number of times (usually drawing the foul) going to the basket. I get the feeling that he doesn't have a secure grip on the ball and he's also holding the ball too low in the paint. He's been getting the calls but I foresee some turnovers unless he's more careful.

He was stroking it from range in the pacers game, but I don't know if that's typical. He strikes me as a an energy guy but there are also some hints of a knucklehead. Some people have made the comment that he plays outside of his ability, this was evident on one play in the pacers game where he tried to go solo on a fast break (had 2 team mates running with him) and he plowed into dahntay jones for the charge.

So he's looked good so far, but we might have only seen dr.jekyll and not so much of mr.hyde

dont expect much...last night was a nice surprised...he knows he has a chance to play if he produces and provides a spark off the bench...He needs to rebound well on both sides and play solid defense...points will be a bonus, but I think even the Nets can bring new life to Humphries...he has nothing to lose, except a job in the NBA...this gives him the opportunity to show he still derserves a NBA uniform...

21 pts 9-14fgs 7rebs 1 block vs the Clippers...other than a couple of bad shots and not blocking out on a couple of plays, he has a nice little jumper, shows toughness and moves the ball well...for the most part he doesnt look like he gets rattled being down in a game...and actually, if you didnt know it, he looks like he has been part of this team a lot longer than he has...(probably has a lot to do with the lackadaisical play of the Nets)

So are we expecting his bubble to burst any time now? I nearly tripped when i saw he was a lottery pick, well 14th anyway, Is he the moose? Or just extra trade fodder. I've only seen highlights mind you but the dude just seems thriving on extra playing time. Were his points mainly garbage time or genuine?

no he hit some nice middle range jumpers...had two OFF boards, I believe for put backs...he's balling...good basketball, nice intensity...but coming off a career high yesterady, I dunno how much more we can get out of him...its just nice to see someone play with high intensity...

Just wanted to chime in as a Raps fan.

Although many people on the Raps boards would disagree with me, I always thought Hump was the most underused player on the team. He always played with hustle, had great efficiency, and typically was the energy guy we needed. IIRC, his first year with Toronto was also Bargnani's first year. They were the same age, so if they had been given equal opportunity to succeed, I believe Humps may have developed equally well as Bargs (although they obviously would have different games).

I believe his move to New Jersey has saved his NBA career. Hopefully he gets to play through some of his mistakes (i.e. being a bit of a black hole on offence), and prove his worth in the NBA. At 24 years old, he certainly has a ton of game left in him.

Raptors fan here.
I always liked Humphries. He never got a fair chance with the Raptors because they were committed to Bargnani, although Hump put up better numbers when he got a chance to play. He's a good player and I hope things work out for him with the Nets.

Well he is shooting 51.5%. He probably should hog the ball alot more at that percentage.

NJN just loves to bend Dallas over in trades and Dallas seems to enjoy it

Najera on the other hand has yet to play a game for Dallas.

Sort of a ballhogging, but absurdly efficient offensive bench-man. So far, he's looked like Lopez in fast-forward, without the willingness to pass or defensive presence. A tremendous pickup if he can keep this up.

Always been a fan of Humphries. Tough hard-nosed guy in the front line. He's the kind of player this team has been missing for awhile. I've advocated trading for him for awhile now, even back when he was in Tor/Utah.
