What young player should go?

If we do happen to make this trade for Amare (I pray everyday that we do) then which young player would you guys like to send out and why? Each has done and said some things that are a little negative towards the Nets but time are tough so try and be unbiased when deciding. Base this on which guy you think has the least upside meaning we would want to keep the 2 better players.

So basically it boils down to which guy has the least upside and you think would be expendable in this trade and why.

I voted for T.Will in a close one (this was a hard decision). CDR has limitations on D and with his range but the man just has that scoring knack and would make a soild 6-7th man for a good team. Lee I think fits in well here he can spread the floor, has good athletisim, runs the floor, and plays hard on D. He did shoot like 40% from 3 last year so once the focus is off him no reason he can't get back there. I will miss T. Will's explosiveness but his range is why I picked him we need guys who can spread the floor for Brook, Amare, and Harris, and T.Will just can't do that. Maybe down the line he will but not yet. Really each brings things i like and would love to keep all 3 but the point is to pick one guy to put in the trade.

This is hard, I'm going to have to think about it, but I'm leaning towards CDR. Oh the irony. :)

I went CDR. T Will isn't even an option for me, the guy still has massive potential in my eyes and even if he is shipped out, I would prefer it was in a separate trade.
Lee isn't so hot either, but I think his personality would suit better to a limited minute bench player. CDR has potential, but I never think he'll be great and getting him to accept a lesser role might be a problem. His recent poor play really solidified it for me.

I've stopped wathcing so I wouldn't even know if CDR's been playing bad. I think I'm gonna watch some of the Clip game tonight though, I feel a win I think.

Yeah I had CDR down first and then I changed to T.Will

I voted Lee.If he doesn't have wide open jumpers like in Orlando then its Brick city everytime.I mean he's young and has to develop but i just don't like him for some reason.

CDR droppin 30 tonight.

But that's kind of the point. On a really good team with players like Amar'e, Brook, Devin or Wall, you need shooters/role players and at least Lee has the potential to be that.

I vote TWill! :D

But being a Suns fan I guess my vote doesn't count. :(

I say NJ should keep Dallas' pick and give us Dub instead of Lee. But still add the 2011 1st Rounder.

^Yeah, T-Will stays. I haven't been his biggest fan here, but...he has massive potential.

Easily his best game as a Net.

Courtney lee seems like the best option. He's a bigger name than CDR because of his Orlando stint yet is easily the worst of the 3.

I'd go for CLee as well...CDR's been sucking lately but I still think he's the better player of the 2.

VC4P, you saw the massive potential tonight...I like TWill enough to say try and keep him around...I'm over his statements...lets just call it young and dumb...I'd definitely rather ship CDR or LEE out...or both...these guys can be 6-8 on a lot of teams...can get some points very quickly...personally I know what Lee accomplished in Orlando, just was never a fan (I felt his production had a lot to do with that Magic team)...

All three have had their shortcomings throughout the year and Nets fans/Mngt have had issues with all three no matter what aspect we're talking about...in the right trade any of them go...

TWill clearly stays. I never wanted to just give up on him, too much potential and the fact that he's just a rookie. What I love the most about him is that he actually plays with intensity.

CLee is probably lesser prospect of the 3. However, I would rather give up CDR than Lee. Say we land Amare, Lee has at least shown that he can hit the 3 consistently if on the right team, ala Orlando. CDR and TWill both don't have the best jumpshots, so that's why I would like to have Lee balancing out the attacks from TWill. I would love to see him coming off the bench draining 3's if we land Amare.

I'm officially over it.
This is the kid I remember in college.
This is the kid I was hyping up like crazy the entire season last year in all the draft threads.
This is the kid that Toronto and NY probably wish they took with their picks, maybe even Minny.
This is the kid that reminded me so much of Iggy and Gerald Wallace.
I know it's one game, but if he finally "get's it" and Kiki finally starts giving him some burn, the sky is the limit for this kid.
Have to wonder if he felt a little snubbed by the non-Rookie game selection as well?
Whatever it is, a fire needs to stay lit under this kid, he can really be the real deal.
Get us Evan Turner in the draft.
Get us Bosh or Amar'e for Yi/CDR or Lee/Dallas 1st.
Get us a couple vets to finish out the bench.
Keep Humps and Dooling.
Get rid of the rest.

Roll with a lineup of:
PG Devin
SG Turner
SF T Will
PF Amar'e or Bosh
C Lopez

I don't even care if you don't get another stud FA, I will be a happy fan next season.

The one reason why I'd part with CDR over Lee is that CDR will get you a better player in return, I don't know if Lee has any value around the league after the way he's played this year...

I wouldn't mind keeping CDR and I don't think I'd actively look to trade him but if the price is right you make the move.

I want to see him in a 6th man role before the season is over though, I think he could really excel in that situation...

Twill needs the playing time...he needs to be able to make mistakes and learn...but he also needs to get some good outings under his belt and feel the benefits of playing a significant role in a Nets game or even win like tonight...

I thought early on in the season he was going to play a butt load...then his comments did him in a bit...but hopefully now through the end of the season he can up his game to where it should be...I hope you're right about him VC4P, I liked the pick, but he still proving himself to me as a fan...
