Nets No Longer Consider CDR A Core Player

Nets forward Chris Douglas-Roberts lost his starting spot to Jarvis Hayes earlier this week.

Douglas-Roberts is no longer considered a core player by New Jersey, sources told the New York Daily News.

The forward's outspokenness has annoyed the Nets.

Douglas-Roberts was averaging 17.2 points under coach Lawrence Frank, but has struggled since he was fired on Dec. 30.

He has been linked to the Grizzlies in rumors.

Seems like quite a leap to make based on some recent poor play. Thoughts?

He is yet another young player who talks too much. It is just not necessary to talk all the annoying shi@t he does on twitter. Most of the times he really is saying a lot of insignificant nothingness.

At this early stage of a his career he just needs to be focusing on playing well, the fans will appreciate good play and solid production more than him yapping to them while not producing, and struggling.

At the end of the day young players have to realize what counts and what does not,.. the yapping doesn't mean ****,.. bottom-line he needs to focus on tangible results from good play, PERIOD.

Stern is about to clean up this **** with the next CBA that he hammers out,.. weakening the players union, lowering salary, shortening guaranteed years,..

These players will start to get it then,.. thats when they will start to focus more on the things that really matter, and not all this other foolishness if they want to be able to stick around they will have to focus on what will keep them around,... TANGIBLE RESULTS ON THE COURT (PLAYING GOOD).

CDR could easily go either way if he doesnt wake up,.. he could wind up getting traded around and out of the league,.. short career,.. or the light bulb could go off and he could start to shut-up and focus on the only things that matter for an NBA player to build a successful career in the NEW, (Post 2011 CBA) NBA.

^What are you talking about? If all that matters is whats on the court then why do you care so much about tweeting? You act like he isn't shooting or working on his game when all indications are that he is one of the hardest workers on the team. Look at his improvement from his rookie to SOPHMORE seasons. He's a 2nd year player who's improved across the board. How about a little objectivity here.

^^Please, he's thrown in the towel the last few weeks.
He doesn't work hard anymore and has literally been dogging it to try and show his worth when he is playing hard.
I stuck up for this clown shoe earlier this season, but no more.
