You never know, but Coach K, he's been at Duke for a very long time, so ... I don't see it," Bosh said. "I think that's the team that's most speculated about right now. They don't really know what they're doing.
I didn't want this soft dude to begin with but he has a lot of nerve talking like that. I mean if there's one team that doesn't know what they're doing it's the Toronto Raptors. Getting destroyed in the Vince Carter trade, inking Jose Calderon to that ridiculous contract, passing up Brandon Roy for Andrea Bargnani, signing Turkeyglu, need I say more?
Circle the date boys, Nets vs. Raptards on Feb. 19th.
If I can make it I'm going to this game live to show this fool his role. If not... YI JIANLIAN ALL DAY.

I think you read what he said the wrong way....they don't know what they're doing because they don't know which direction they want to go, not because it's a crazy-house that is being run by a monkey. At least, that's how I read it.

Eh, I'd agree if this wasn't the first time he was quoted as saying something negative about the Nets. It's getting kind of lame. Even if he thinks it, what is the point?

My guess is that he still has nightmares over what Jason Collins did to him in the playoffs

ur funny .... i cant wait for that date to see the raptors eat a bit of the nets .... and its true the nets gm and owners dont have control of the team ...
1st the vince carter trade was run by an idiot !! who got nothing back in return but look u guys got an injured in vince back lol ...
2nd the calderon deal was the best at that time ...
3rd ... andrea took a while to develop but he was worth the #1 pick
4th turk was 1 of the best freeagents and why go to the nets lol .... toronto is one of the #1 multicultural city in north america ...

1. You're dead wrong look at the games Carter missed as a Nets player now compare that to the games Chris Bosh missed over the same time period (then slap yourself in the face for being so wrong).
2. Calderon always sucked, you don't ink one of the 5 worst defensive players at his position to that type of contract.
3. Andrea has been good but he's not even close to Brandon Roy's level.
4. The Nets couldn't sign Turk and wouldn't have wanted Turk anyway. The guy is another defensive sieve but to make matters worse his offensive efficiency is suspect as well.

What you say is true but... What a difference a couple of years make.
With that being said I'm still fairly confident that the Nets will be a better team than the Raptors in 1-2 years time.

OP does not know what he's talking about. Raptors are playing good ball. Since December they hold the second best record in the NBA behind Cavs.
Jose had a bad contract sure but he's still efficient and a good shooter.
Brandon Roy was a surprise he was drafted 6th overall a lot of teams passed on him and underestimated him. Plus, the Raptors didn't need a 2 guard at the time.
Signing Hedo wasn't the smartest move but they needed a guy in the 4th quarter besides Bosh and also in the post-season which is what he brings.
Need you say more? well what is there to say?
PLEASE don't tell me you think Nets are going to beat them come on thats just being silly.
Oh and you think the Nets will be better in 1-2 years time thats a joke. They have a promising rookie Demar Derozan drafted as a freshman, Amir Johnson at 22 years of age, Bargnani who is 23-24, Bosh who has hinted he will re-sign, JJ and others. The Nets won't finish with 7 wins and no big free agent wants to come to a team like that so don't bring that here

not a chance, we have demar who is looking good in 1-2 years, amir johnson, JJ, bosh who will probally re-sign, and bargnani who and been improving marginally and in 1-2 years we will be in the top of the east i would assume while you fight for an 8th spot instead of being last in the league./thread

1) You're taking the quote out of context. He meant that the Nets don't know what direction they're headed yet and have lots of decisions they still have to make.
2) Grats, you ripped off the worst GM in histroy

3) Even the Blazers passed on Roy with their first pick. Bargnani is headed to being the 2nd best player in the draft class. He was a fine pick. Especially if you consider how many of the lottery picks became busts.
You're really taking this comment way too hard and this just sounds like a lot of built up frustration from following a historically bad team.
Relax man.

"1-2 years fighting for the top of the east..."
Come on, I'm one of the more reasonable posters in the Nets forum, but you can't believe that, can you? Unless Colangelo manages to trade for an interior defender, you won't be contending for the top spot. You'll be 3rd or 4th, and will be in the second round of the playoffs.

I can't agree with the likes of LMA, Rondo and Gay in the same draft class.

1. Roy
2. LMA/Gay/Rondo/Bargnani
Bargnani and Aldridge are basically tied as players. Aldridge is a subpar rebounder as well and doesn't have to play with Bosh, Gay is playing well in a contract year but had a bad year last season, and i've always felt Rondo was overrated in Boston's system but im sure no one will agree with me until they see him play somewhere else.
Bargnani is progressing really quickly and has a higher ceiling than Aldridge. He's averaging 18/6.5/1.5 this year and he's the second or even third scoring option in Toronto.
He's only 23/24 and has plenty of room for improvement.

I'm going to tie Bosh up on Hurricane deck until he screams I WANT TO SIGN WITH THE NETS!!!!
The Raps are going to get bounced out of the playoffs in the first round with that cottonelle squad.Yea our record is 5-48 wat up! 2010/11 The Nets will have a better team than the Raps guaranteed

On Aldridge vs. Bargnani:Aldridge's rebounding could stand to improve but he's never been Bargnani pathetic. Andrea might play next to Bosh but Aldridge plays next to Oden / Pryzbilla two players who are arguably BETTER rebounders than Bosh... Also they're both 24 years old... Even if we grant that Bargnani is a second or third option on the Raptors at times, that works in Aldridge's favor because as a second option Aldridge has posted a better FG% than Bargnani each and every year.
On Rudy Gay:I'm not sure how you can say he had a "bad season" last year and then say that he's only playing well this year because it's a contract year when his stats these last two years have been virtually the same:
