Cavs = Worst Team In Basketball

Post#1 » by Preludepunk27 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 8:33 pm

Now this is all in fun guys. My roommate is from Cleveland and is a Cavs fan and we just had this exchange through text:

Me: Hey we won the season series with the Bobcats. That means the Bobcats are officially the worst team in the NBA
Roommate: Hey the Bobcats won the season series with the Cavs. That means the Cavs are officially the worst team in the NBA. You can have Lebron. He is/was dragging Big Z down anyway.

I said last month I didn't think we'd do anything at the deadline unless something fell into our lap. My plan for a draft night blockbuster, drafting John Wall and then nabbing a solid free agent is still in play.

I think the Cavs are highly overrated. I am not even scared of the Jamison trade locking Lebron in for the longterm. I can still see him signing with another team this offseason such as the Nets or signing with the Cavs for a short term deal (1-2 years) to see where they are once Shaq retires, Jamison is irrelevant when he's 35, and the rest of the team is still subpar. I like Mo Williams but he might be the only other player producing for the Cavs in 2012 as of now. Anderson V is only a hustle player and Boobie Gibson might never progress.

The Nets have a great shot now. I was rooting for the Cavs to get an older player so it's obvious just to appease Lebron for the immediate future. I don't think he's that dumb.

I was also rooting for the Heat not to grab a sidekick for Wade so he will still want to leave.

Our plan is coming to fruition. Now once MP takes control and puts a big name coach and let's everyone know he will spend whatever to bring a title to NJ/Brooklyn things will be looking much better.

Add in getting the top pick (please God) and we will be sitting pretty.

Imagine a year after winning 18 games we win 60 and are a top 3 seed with several big names on our squad...

Well, technically, didn't the Cavs also sweep the Lakers? That means that the Cavs are the second to worst team in the league, and the Lakers are bringing up the rear.

So, ipso facto, WE'RE BETTER THAN THE LAKERS!

Aren't technicalities grand? I'm sure is someone had too much time on their hands we could figure out a way to say we are a top 5 team in the NBA. What premier FA wouldn't want to play for us????

My thread is obviously a joke I had with my roommate. JKiddy's comments probably had some seriousness to them, however, I do believe they're overrated as a whole team, but the fact you have a game changer (There are probably only maybe 5 TRUE game changers in the league anyway) automatically makes the Cavs legit.

by the way, by game changer on the Cavs, my roommate and I both agree it's Big Z. That Lebroney is a Jebroney!

if lebron signed with your team next year and turned your record around, much like boston from 07'-08', he could be considered the greatest player in nba history. not that he'll actually sign there...

I like how the guy in your avatar is continuously performing the crab dribble. That's what it looks like whenever Lebron plays.

haha, that's john salmons. i didn't make this, some other guy did. us on the bulls board were often (before the trade) frustrated at the seemingly unlimited amount of jab stepping he did to shake his defenders, especially off a derrick rose dish. really, if you really watched this team, you would understand why rose could never average more than 6 assists. offense based on isos, no interior offense, no perimeter offense.
i haven't watched a nets game this year. i think the only bulls game i've missed so far was the bulls nets game in which you guys won....haha, and i expected that too.

I noticed that Salmons two-step in the playoffs, I could never figure out what he was doing or why he was doing it though...

It's like saying up is down. The team with the best record is actually the worst team?
