OT: Raptors fan hoping to snag Courtside Tickets on Mar 20th

Post#1 » by tush » Mon Feb 22, 2010 5:16 pm

What is the cheapest way to get courtside ticketstickets?

I just called the Nets Sales team, they quoted me $500/ticket for Section 109 Row B (second row behind raptors bench).

I am looking for any first row courtside tickets (not baseline/endzone), or behind the raps bench.

I figured for the lousy attendance you guys are having that the tickets would be a bit cheaper, are there any third parties you guys know of where I can get courtsides?

Thanks.

Stubhub.com;

http://www.stubhub.com/new-jersey-nets- ... en2Event=1

Hover your mouse over the section right below the Nets logo there are courtside tickets going for $200 there.

Also there are some "hollywood courtside" (whatever the hell that means) tickets going for $350, it seems like it'd be pretty fun to watch the game from there even though I'm guessing you'd be kind of stuck at the end...

I haven't been in state so I haven't been to a game recently and don't know how much courtside seats usually cost but I will tell you:

1. $500 seems too much

2. You can either:
A. Purchase those $200 tickets now (seems reasonable)
B. Gamble / Wait until closer to the game date to buy tickets at which point there may be more tickets and the prices may be lower (conversely those tickets might be gone and you'd have to purchase ones that cost more)

Here's another site you could use, probably won't find courtside seats but might as well browse around anyway:

Thanks, those hollywood courtsides are the same tickets I got quoted at for $500. Actually that site has them listed long, your true hollywood courtsides are basically on the bench, and are facevalue $1500 each! The Holywood courtsides they have listed on that site are section 109 Row B I believe. I will keep an eye on the tickets and see if they drop in the next week or so, then I will purchase if still available.

The Nets sales team just called me back and offered them to me for 50% off. Two tickets right behind the Raps bench for $500. Would never get anything like that in Toronto, so I jumped on the chance.

Looking forward to a good game!

You should have haggled with him. For $500 you probably could have got setup with a Nets dancer, or at least an assistant coaches daughter.
