Freaking CLAM IT man! I want a real coach. I miss the days of when the Nets could lose and the coach could be interviewed and he'd actually have some idea what he's talking about.

Hire Frank, hire Van Gundy, hire just about anybody (note: just about anybody SPECIFICALLY excludes Avery Johnson and Kiki Vandeweghe)...

I think even the biggest LFHs can admit the Nets biggest misstep this season was replacing Frank with a truly incompetent moron.

While I was glad that Frank finally got the ax, I didn't think the 0-18 start was his fault at all. Anytime you depend on ONE of these guys; Bobby Simmons, Eduardo Najera, Rafer Alston and Trenton Hassell, you know you're in trouble yet we depended on ALL FOUR for the first month of the season.

Kiki is the ultimate example of a ''coach'' who has no idea what he's doing. I laugh whenever I hear knicks fans calling D'Antoni ''the worst coach ever'' or Mavericks fans calling RIck Carlisle an idiot.

I want Jeff Van Gundy or Mike Fratello.

Jeff Van Gundy because he's one of the smartest guys available. He anticipates plays like no other, has been successful as a defensive minded coach AND he knows how to handle players egos/personalities.

I'd like Mike Fratello because he knows how to coach, he's been around the team for almost a year now and knows first hand what our young players' faults are. He'd do wonders to Lopez' game.

Honestly... I am one of the guys who wanted Frank out as a coach... BUT... i didnt ask Kiki to replace him. What a dumb move.

Once this draft positioning is determined.

The two best things IMO that has happened this year is FRANK GETTING FIRED and the Nets getting the #1 or 2 pick. If we get the #3 or 4 pick, I will be semi disappointed but thinking about Frank not being here will still lift my spirits.

You give the guy too much credit. Kiki isnt a coach. He is a roasting pig that is rotating on a skewer. Just waiting to be cut into pieces.

Marc Jackson just said Baron Davis is the best player on the Clippers. Please Lord, never let Marc Jackson coach the Nets!

Yes Frank needed the ax, but no the record was not his fault. Frank was a good coach but it was just time for a change. I see no reason why he won't be successfull again in a good situation.

AS for the next coach, Messina is an interesting name, another name that I just heard come up is Jay Wright from Villanova, I wouldn't mind either of these guys.

well you he is kinda right i mean its between davis or kaman

Eric Gordon is easily better than Baron Davis as is Chris Kaman.

Anyone know of any great Russian coaches the new owner might fish in?

I hope Jeff Van Gundy becomes the head coach for this team.
