2009 trade deadline- the firesale shall be on

Post#1 » by why22 » Tue Jan 27, 2009 11:14 pm

if anyone can try and playout the scenario that will go down on the deadline day i say we gotta deal kaberle(says he would be willing to leave), kubina(however we can), toskala to detroit(for a prospect or picks) and i say even mike van ryn as a few teams would look to get a scoring d man, and finally i say we deal blake along with a 3 rnd pick to another team for a 5th rounder we move down in the draft but we cut blakes disgusting contract

BC: so I see you played Andrea quite a bit there when he was struggling
Casey: yeah I know, we needed spacing
BC: play him more (walks away)

Rumors are going about Montreal trading for Kaberle, but I don't see it happening.

I see ONE of Kaberle/Kubina being dealt, not both. I don't see a significant fire sale this deadline. We all thought there was going to be one last deadline with Fletcher, but all we saw was minor 3rd and 4th line players dealt.

Return to Toronto Maple Leafs
