Leafs sign Boyd Devereaux for 2 years

Post#1 » by Crowned » Thu Apr 26, 2007 10:09 pm

Sources tell TSN that the Toronto Maple Leafs and veteran forward Boyd Devereaux have agreed to a two-year contract extension.

Under the one-way deal, Devereaux will earn $550,000 in 2007-08 and $600,000 in the 2008-09 season

Good signing by the team. I was very impressed with Boyd this season, and was hoping he'd re-sign.

This is a good signing in my opinion and I thought he played pretty well for us.

oh goody. now, let's just hope that he continues to outbid all the rest of the GMs in the league and retains Green, O'Neil and Aubin. Honestly, is there one other team in the league who would have even offered Deveraux a 1 year contract, let alone two??? JFJ continues to show me absolutely nothing.

After his performance this past season, teams would've definitely signed him to a contract. What's the problem with re-signing Boyd? From what he showed last season, he'd a solid addition to the team.
