Imagine This...

The Sens win the Cup, and then they play the Leafs on opening day and getting their rings and raising their championship banner in front of us. This would be like the ultimate kick in the nuts to Leafs fans.

I think I might develop a drinking habit if the Sens win it this year.....

You think that's a kick in the nuts?

Every 10 years one of the Stanley Cup's "rings" is removed and placed in the Hockey hall of fame. That means this year, Toronto's last Cup (1967) engraving is coming off, and it could be replaced with Ottawa.

Ok, so the team photo of the winner of the cup is right next to the employee door entrance at the HHOF. I REALLY don't wanna see Ottawa there

The sick and pathetic part of this is no one at MLSE is twisting knowing that the Senators are going to the Stanley Cup finals this year and have an excellent chance of winning.

For years now we have had to be satisfied with meaningless playoff round wins against the Senators, only to end up losing to a lesser team later in the playoffs. MLSE measures success in revenue, not championships and those hapless Senators, complete with their Captain who we just love to hate here in Toronto, are going to the dance while we sit here with an average at best team, a mid-first round pick in a so-so draft, and a GM who is a patsy that has no power and is governed by a group of people who don't have any Hockey accumen to speak of.

How friggin pathetic. There is nothing but more of the same in the future for this team.

The bigger kick in the nuts is not the Sens winning the Cup, but the ineptitude of this organization over 40 year's.

I've grown up following the Leafs through the late 80's till now and never have I felt they put together a true championship team.

I am rooting for the Sens, they deserve to win. I picked them to go to the finals.
