It's hard to say cause JFJ has to come up with a new business proposal for MLSE before they decide if they want to keep him or not.

But now that the Raptors season is done you'll be hearing a lot more from the Leaf side of things

Kypreos says we should target St.Louis via trade or Gomez via FA.

I do not like either of those players. St.Louis would cost too much to get in a trade and he has a big contract. I do not like Gomez at all and especially at the price tag he will demand.

Why not st.louis ? brings speed do the team something the leafs dont have and need. I'd be happy to see either of them on the leafs.

Cause he needs a Lecavalier to get going, and i know your going to mention Sundin but once he's gone then he'll have no one to play with and I don't think he's the type of guy to carry a team on his own.

Not to mention he's already 32 years old

"With exactly a month to go before free agency begins its time for the rumor mill to open up, and with a very good crop of UFA's (unrestricted free agents). Leaf fans across the world are beginning to wonder who the leafs are interested in.

CHRIS DRURY- Although all the rave is about a star winger, why not bring in a player like Drury to gives us a scary 1-2 punch

RYAN SMYTH- Arguably the best power forward available this summer, he could be that gritty winger sundins always needed, and at only 31, he could be in a leafs uniform for a long time.

JASON BLAKE- Had an awesome season this year, Blake's eye for the net will definitely help the team out, but hes not that star winger we need, and at 34 hes probably not exactly what the leafs are looking for

TODD BERTUZZI- Bertuzzi says he wants to stay in Detroit, but the Wings won't give him the same $5.2M he made last year, which could see him leave. And Possibly come to Toronto and give us more size, hes defiantly a presence and with him screening the goalie, we could see a vast improvement in shots from the point, going in (more so)

GARY ROBERTS- You saw what he can do in the playoffs, hes sill got it in him, maybe for one or two years (MAXIMUM), and he'll be embraced by the fans wether he's old or not.

LADISLAV NAGY - Racking up 55 points with a terrible Coyotes team, and not as used as much as he was in Phoenix, when he was on Dallas, he could be a great winger for Mats Sundin.

SLAVA KOZLOV- Probably one of the most underrated players in this years crop of free agents he notched 28 goals, with 52 assists a grand total of 80 points in 81 games.

CURTIS JOSEPH- The leafs are looking for a goalie who will come cheap and play maybe 10-20 games, why not CUJO? he's been here before, and he can help Raycroft with his flaws in his game

Those are some of the names im hearing, from alot of different rumor sites, I'd love to see Kozlov OR Drury in a Leafs uniform this October.

I'd love to see Drury in Toronto. Any maybe Nagy or Kozlov too.

Buffalo will get rid of Briere before they lose Drury, no chance there.

How about Ray Emery!

He's a RFA this summer, we should throw him an offer, if Ottawa doesn't match, cool, we get our goalie. If they do match, well, having our biggest division rival pay more money is never a bad thing.

Ray Emery is out of the question. St.Louis or Gomez is someone I'd go after, and who wouldnt wanna play for the leafs? there just like the knicks , alot of media attention here.

Return to Toronto Maple Leafs
