so is it too early to call kadri a bust?

he doesn't look like he's close to being NHL talent, nevermind NHL ready.
how many points does he have? and zero goals?

if this is the centre of the future...yikes....

I don't think that's fair. Wilson's jerking him around all over the place. For a team that can't find a starting center, they should be playing Kadri with Kessel and let the kid play through his mistakes.

I'm sick of watching the Leafs personally.

I don't get th meaning behind the waffles but ut's hilarious and about time the fans in the arena started to show their displeasure with this team. Maybe not the best format but still damn funny. I'd love to see a chant start 'first round draft pick' clap! clap! clap clap clap clap!

They started a Fire Wilson chant. Maybe Burke gets a few chants soon too. Im just tired of seeing such a bad team. I took playoff hockey for granted ever since the Quinn years. We re having a Knicks esque decade.

Atleast we can lol at this. The green men in Vancouver are great

Eggo should hand out waffles outside the acc. this way all 19,800 throw the waffles on the ice. Then you see Burke collapse in his private box.

Anyone catch Gord Kirke on PTS the other day?

A caller asked when it would be fair to judge Burke's record in Toronto. Kirke said five years was the goal from the beginning and that Burke thought his team was better than it actually was and made some proclamations about playoffs coming much sooner.

Easy solution, right? Gotta get rid of the pre-Burke players and let Burke do his thing. Unfortunately for the fans that continue to buy this BS, this has already been done. Who is left from JFJ? Kaberle, one of our better players?

Didn't catch it but I don't think the analysis is that far off. Whether Burke will be here or not, I think 5 years is when you can give me a final grade on how he did...to the 'mid-term' he has been bad but in a couple years there should be a few of his draft picks on the team and lets see how that team makes out. I'd expect D'Amigo, Blacker, Aulie, Kadri, McKegg, Ross, Nicholls and Rynnas all to be on the team or at least knocking on the door by that time.

And JFJ did more to handcuff this franchise more than Burke has. Burke has been bad but JFJ was completely inept.

talking about a joke...
Leafs let their star-in-training, Kadri, sit in the press box for a few games.
now they've sent him down to the minors....where he'll serve a 2-day suspension. so that's around 2 weeks of inactivity. brilliant.....

And he's 20...Bobby Ryan was up and down from the AHL until he was 22. And I think Yogi is right about him being not NHL ready but that doesn't mean he's a bust...he'll get there but he's taking longer...he has the skill but he's not there physically yet...he has amazing hands and vision, good speed...he has all the tools to be an above average to all-star type player, just needs some to grow and pack on some muscle.

agreed...the franchise seems to be doing all the worst things for his development...as good as practice can be, it doesn't replace actual game experience.

Bobby Ryan was also part of an organization that had many good players ahead of him on the big club at that time and was one of the better teams in the league. They could afford to take their time. There is not a single center on the big club that is far and above beyond what Kadri can do. I can agree that he's not physically ready. But if your gonna bring a kid like him up to the big club, he have to give him confidence by playing him through his mistakes while pointing them out. What they're doing to him is actually hurting his development, unlike the up and down of Bobby Ryan.

If Kadri gets traded in the future I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be successful like many of the other young guys that got traded early from the Laffs in recent years.
