Talk is, that it will go down this week but unless we have a good replacement, things may go from bad to worse...

Colin Campbell would be my choice if it does go down and I also like Glenn Healy but Healy doesn't have the experience...

I think however the real problem is not the GM but the coach and from reports, JFJ tried to replace him, I think Maurice has lost the confidence of the players and I would like to see a coach Like Pat Burns brought in...

According to a source, Ferguson attempted to have Maurice replaced as coach late last week but was prevented from doing so. After a terrible weekend, Ferguson may make one last ditch effort to change coaches.

For all those that want a better team and are willing to go down to the bottom of the NHL, losing is the way to get a good first round draft choice (Can you say Steven Stamkos), we are currently in 27th place, in the lottery?...

JFJ has full control of this team? Doesn't sound like it. If he wants to fire a coach he brought in, he should be able to.

The only other plausable reason as to why this was nixed, is if MLSE intends on replacing JFJ in the near future.

Perfect GM Tandem for the Leafs:
GM: Jim Rutherford (does it all, drafts well, trades well, signs well)
Assistant GM: Jim Nill (great at scouting, knows the world of prospects really well)

Return to Toronto Maple Leafs
