Article that I agree with in that Leafs franchise is really at odds with their fanbase instead of trying to win them over. Its outrageous to call the Cops on Jersey throwing fans, for shame MLSE. Probably the most pointless criminal charge over riding a bike without a helmet and jaywalking.

Wow, can't believe a couple of people got arrested.

The fans have every right to boo and show their frustration. Throwing anything on the ice or court is forbidden and can get you tossed as it did but an arrest? Really.

This organization just thinks it's above anything and these guys are actually pushing back and antagonizing, almost daring the fans to do something back and keep escalating things.

They're not throwing jerseys on the ice as a disrespect to the Maple Leaf as some players called it, their doing it specifically in regards to the 23 players currently wearing the jersey who aren't fighting, improving or doing anything and even showing they care.

Shanny really needs to come down with the hammer.

You see the problem is that the jerseys were thrown specifically during play. I was up in arms until I actually realized that this was the case in all actuality. If someone chooses to throw their jersey on the ice during a whistle then I say fair game. Brutal performances, brutal player accountability, brutal franchise quite honestly. But when you factor in throwing something on the ice which could potentially cause an injury to either a Maple Leafs player or a visiting player. If a Leaf slipped up on a jersey and goes awkwardly into the boards that would suck. If you're a visiting player that has nothing to do with this embarrassment of a NHL franchise and hurt yourself don't pretend that the opposing franchise would be okay with that. Player safety has to be paramount and if you read the fine print on your ticket this isn't the Toronto Maple Leafs becoming sour towards their fans.

Albeit, the Leafs reaction to this whole situation has been piss poor. I am one boneheaded player interview discussing the fans non-right to be frustrated with the garbage MLSE throws on the ice 41 times a year as opposed to discussing the team's terrible on-ice performance. At this point, nobody deserves to the captaincy of this team. So many problems, not enough time to touch on them.

The good news is they're currently sitting with a top 8 pick in a really good draft. McKenzie said if you're getting a top 12 pick in this draft, you're coming away with a very good player.

I don't expect them to deal any of their big contracts before the deadline but we should see some movement, and hopefully enough so this team doesn't do their classic showing of winning games when they don't matter anymore.

6.5% chance of McDavid right now. Let's see if we can raise that before the season ends.

3 points separates us from the bottom 5

P.s Rielly has been great in the absence of Phanuef. I hope we keep this core until the end of the season, they might lead us to the bottom 3. That's probably our best chance at Connor. No way we're catching the Sabers or the Oilers LOL

These players I'd keep.

Pannik, Winnick, Holland, Santorelli, Reilly, Polak, Percy, Kadri, Gardiner, Komorov and Reimer. I'd fill out this team with waiver wire cast aways and a proven coach with young players. Everyone else is a fire sale opportunity. If some can't be dealt they go to Ricoh.

Nylander has to play two seasons with the Marlies and ditto Matt Finn. McKegg and Lievo should be on this team and maybe Granberg.

That's 9 spots to fill and some KHLers must be coming back maybe even legendary coach Dave King.

The fact that there are still people watching this team in Toronto is what's surprising. It's all about the tank.

What a shambles the Burke era (which this basically still is) turned out to be.

Start jumping off the Leafs bandwagon and onto the Raptors' and see what it's like to have a half decent team.

Dead serious. As long they kiss their ticket holders butts with these overpriced semi serious line-ups the team will be pure garbage forever. Start playing your prospects and mine some draft picks. Otherwise might as well let James Dolan run the franchise...into the ground.

Well I think we should be moving out the pending UFA's like Winnik, Franson, Santo. Wont be getting much for Winnik or Santo cause they're just depth players. Also would like to see Reimer moved, for his sake.

But I agree with keeping Panik, Holland, Rielly, Polak, Percy, Kadri, Komarov, and then add Bernier to that list.

I think if Nylander is good enough at camp next year, he should be on the team, doesnt matter how much time in the ahl he has.

I'm worried that a tear down might bring back a bunch of try-hards that would effect this tank job. Just keep everyone. I think bottom 3 is in reach. Then hope for a lotto win or Edmonton win and just bombard them with #3 and whatever it takes for McDavid.

No way we should keep everyone.

That would be awful asset management. Plus, most of the guys I think will be moved before or at the deadline are mostly just depth players, only one with a decent impact on the team is Franson. Trading him should make us worse too.

LOOL you think the leafs will fall into top 5, they'll go into another meaningless win streak and finish around 10-11th, better hope for that Lottery luck.

It's like a never-ending cycle of hell with no beginning and no end. Honestly though, if Leafs fans would just stop paying money to see this crap MLSE would probably smarten up real fast. On the other hand, the Leafs sucking and Leaf fans continually forking over money is probably something that helps keeps the Raptors healthy under the MLSE umbrella.

10 straight losses. Bernier with a minor injury. Should let him rest and start showcasing Reimer for a deal possibly.

One of them should be dealt by the draft. Gotta keep this losing streak up and tear it down. If they get a top 5 or top 3 pick, they need to do everything in their power to trade up and get McDavid. They've missed too many opportunities over the last 10 years for a franchise talent, they may not get him, but they need to do everything they can.

Are the leafs rebuilding or retooling? No one from MLSE has said either way and that is the part that worries me most.
