Was it just me, or was the Montreal defenceman just casually taking his time going to get that icing? Is he aware of the time on the clock? Leafs totally deserve this game based on the third period.

The leafs have definitely been playing with their heart on their sleeves in the third. For the first time in a long time I am genuinely proud of this team and to be a fan of this group.

I thought they were skating pretty slow to get back on the icing calls as well.

What an insane game. Somehow the Leafs survive another day despite Razor's crappiness!

I don't think any Leaf fan is happy with this team and where they seem to be going. But it's still nice to see your team in the playoffs.

Your a moderator and your telling people they can't comment, right, when are you retiring.

lol, be serious.

People get so worked up and trash the team and players on it, when they're not educated about the position (goaltending).

How about I go over to the Raptors board, make another thread on TJ Ford about his inability to distribute the ball at the end of games, always looking for his own shot at the buzzer...then say he sucks, and isn't a pure PG. I've seen a ton of people bash Raycroft ALL season long, saying it's his fault if they lose before the game even starts. We don't need anymore threads about Andrew Raycroft, thank you very much.

I know what you're saying. It's a lose-lose/win-win situation. I want to make it since we've come so far and at this point 8th is better then 9th place. However, missing would mean JFJ is all but gone and Raycroft suffers the same fate. If we do well in the playoffs that could all change.

To be fair, the Leafs didn't get quite a few calls either. I thought the Refs were up and down like a yo-yo all game. They'd make the right call, then let the same infraction (in a similar situation) go 5 minutes later.

I don't know what your point is. You do know that that second MTL goal was even-strength correct?

BTW, I didnt see the mccabe or wellwood goal so I don't know how much at fault huet was. If he let in a softie like Raycroft, I would certainly say it was his fault.

The MTL goal is off-topic and it's irrelevant. Next time try watching a game before you solely believe that the opposing teams lead evaporated solely because of goaltending and feel that both goalies deserve ALL the blame. Raycroft caught a bad break in the second and was yanked, that period was dominated by Montreal. They needed a change, and I don't know what Paul Maurice said to his boys in the 2nd intermission, but it was the turning the point. Montreal took some gutsy penalties, and it costs them the season. By your theory, I guess Aubin deservers much praise and even the Vezina for the Leafs performance in the 3rd. Whether you want to accept it or not, Raycroft was a contributor to these 91 points and is one of the reasons why this team could be heading into the playoffs

Awesome win, and what a way to cap off a rough season. Great atmosphere and glad that there was a big time buzz in the ACC. As a fan, they

8 straight minutes of penalties for the Habs, down 2 men twice, I knew once the habs were up they would be paraded to the box.

I am tired of the Leafs always teasing their fans. This team must keep missing the playoffs as much as possible until MLSE changes their ways. I may not have been with the leafs for 40+ years, but ever since the late 1990s until now, I have had enough with the tease and then the disappointments in the playoffs.

GO ISLANDERS!!!
