http://sports.nationalpost.com/2010/11/19/pat-burns-dead-at-58-report/Pat Burns, who went from tough-as-nails police officer to one of the best defensive coaches in NHL history, died Friday after a long battle with cancer.
This will probably be moved to the Off-topic Canada board or Leafs forum but I thought I'd share. Loved his time in Toronto.

I'll never ever forget the summer of 1993 one of the highlights of which was that Leafs playoff run.

Like someone else said, great childhood memories of that man. He died on his third type of cancer, this man was tough-as-nails, as the article says.

One of the toughest dudes ever, and an incredible coach. Whoever didn't say yes to putting him in the HOF this year is a POS.
