161 Players voted the Leafs captain the number 1 over rated player in the league, BS if you ask me, wondering who you guys think should have taken the honors instead, Or if you agree with this why?

I don't know if overrated is the right word, because I don't think anyone rates him that high except for Brian Burke, when he named him captain of our storied franchise.

Overrated.....Carey Price pops into my mind. Kind of iffy on Luongo.

I completely agree with him being overrated. And he is also a fake tough guy. He thinks he is intimidating.

No offence but I'm sure that if you ask Da Costa, Sauer and probably 100 other NHLers they will gladly tell you that they make sure they dont get caught with their head down playing against the buds, Those hits im sure intimidate other players.

Also correct me if im wrong but didn't leaf management tell Phaneuf to quit dropping the gloves?

Overrated in comparison to his salary? Maybe. He's not an overrated defenseman, and he's certainly not an overrated component to this team. He logs big minutes, is dependable in his own end, and is the the captain of the team. How he's overrated is beyond me.

...and having 30 or so players call him overrated is nothing to write home about. Big deal.
