I found this interesting blog written by Anaheim GM Brian Burke. He basically discusses some of the deals he was working on, his thoughts, and trade negotiations at the deadline with some teams. He was careful that he only discussed players that were eventually traded, so I'm sure a handful of other names were discussed by Burke.

Yeah I have seen this before, apparently he really wanted to pick up Souray or Rivet. Interesting to see a week in the life of a NHL GM before the trade deadline eh.
