Or am I reading too much into this.
So he's on with McCown and is asked are you happy with the team. To which he says it should be clarified that they are not happy, but clarify that the goal is not just to make the playoffs. The goal is to make the playoffs and then move on to win a cup.
The last statement irks me a bit because of the perception of the Leafs. Shouldn't they goal be stated as to win a Stanley Cup.
Also, he goes on to say, well, as proven in the NHL, once you get into the playoffs, any team can go on a run as proven by the Oiler's last year. This really gets to me as well, so are you hoping to back into the playoffs and hopefully go on a run. The likelihood of that is so limited, instead go out and put the best possible team on the ice.
I am venting, but this guy and this organization is now really getting on my nerves.
