This is how I feel your 2007-2008 Maple Leafs will look like:
Smyth-Sundin-Ponikarovsky
Steen-Tucker-Wellwood
Newbury-Stajan-Kilger
Devereaux-Pohl-Williams
spare-Belak
Kaberle-Kubina
McCabe-Stralman
White-Gill
spare-Colaiacovo

I hope/don't want Smyth here, I rather someone younger. Furthermore, if that is indeed the lineup with pretty much 1 or 2 changes you can expect the leafs to miss the playoffs again.

As long as we have Sundin and Tucker , this team isn't going anywhere. and forget having Ryan Smyth in t-dot...wont happen.

So basically all we are doing is adding Smyth?
This team needs to desperately trade one of Kubina or McCabe to first shed some salary (grab a player and pick). Id love a Lupol for Kubina trade and then sign Hartnell in free agency. Then take all the rest of the money we have and throw it at Giguere. at the draft Id trade Stajan and our pick (#13) in a attempt to move up and grab Backlund. Resign Peca and were good.
Hartnell Sundin Lupol
Steen Wellwood Tucker
Antropov Peca Ponikarovski
Dev Pohl Jeremy Williams
Kaberle McCabe
White Gill
Coliacovo Strallman
Giguere
Raycroft

The joke is you thinking Brian Burke is going to take Kubina and his salary for Lupol. Almost as funny as that is Scott Hartnell on the 1st line.

This really isn't going anywhere. I'll create an individual thread where members can suggest offseason moves.
