I've heard a lot about them looking at Logan Couture but I'm not sure if he'll fall that far. If he does then I'll like it

Well he's ranked #13 right now by ISS so it wouldnt be that stretched to think he will be there. He's not the greatest skater and had a injury this season so Im not totally sold on him.
Brandon Sutter is another guy who could be taken at #13 by the Leafs.

I think after #10, there's a variety of players that could very well go at #13. I'd be comfortable with the following:
Zach Hamill
Colby Cohen
Mikael Backlund
Couture
...and to a lesser extent Joakim Andersson and Max Pacioretty.
This draft is EXTREMELY deep with solid centers and defenders. If you're looking to address those needs, you're in luck.

Maxim Mayorov would also be a good pick, the guy can fly and has tremendous skills. Prolly has one of the higher ceilings in the draft but some scouts say he is lazy. They compare him to Kovalev is some regards.

I really wish we had another pick towards the end of the first round. I've talked to MAS about this, and Billy Sweatt is going to be a good player in the NHL one day. If the Leafs were to trade their #13 pick for say, #18-#20 overall, and another pick later in the draft, I'd take him and run.

Best wheels in the draft and one of the better skaters I've seen in a long time. I wouldnt mind trading down to around 17-19 and take a guy like Sweatt. Calgary could be a logical trading down option seeing they are prolly going to attempt to trade up to make sure they get Sutter. I also wouldnt mind seeing JFJ attempt to trade up if theres a way to get Gagne.

I used to play against Sweatt in U.S tournaments, and he used to come over here (he played on an older team, he was younger than us), and he's an unbelieveable player. I'd say he's one of the more underrated players in the draft. When he played for the U.S, he skated through Team Canada with ease, and from what I can remember, he played on defense that game. Despite what the draft testing says, he's the best skater in the draft. He's got smooth hands, and an extremely hard shot (believe me, I know

).

Wow 13 pick became Toskala instead of Cherapanov and Esposito.

This team aint going anywhere but miss the playoff for another decade playing dreadful hockey. Hopeless. Will they fire JFJ before he runs this team to the ground? He is giving Rob Babcock a run for the money on GM idiocy.

One big difference, JFJ didn't trade his star player for a tin of skoal(ATrain), a can of kidney beans (Mourning), A pan of "Special" Brownies(EWill) and a few used tampons(Picks).
Ferguson is trying to improve the team.....I just hope he lucks out with some later draft picks. You need to draft well in the new NHL and if JFJ can't....he'll be gone.....granted it might be in 3 years

Drafting in the lower rounds is a problem too, since the leafs scouts are not known for drafting well. I think Montreal are doing a lot better in that department. I say it is time to clean house, fire the whole scouting department and hire new scouts, there are tons of good ones out there better than what the leafs have right now believe me.

What's done is done, now we have to take the hand that we have and use it.
There's a reason those two fell, just remember that
