Good value for Carlo, a pretty legit #3-4 guy.

On a side note- the salaries we're paying in defense is getting up there.

You shouldn't take into account this year's salary alone, because the cap hit on the team is only the average of a player's salary.

For example, McCabe may make $7.1M this season, but it progressively goes down, and in a few years he'll only be making $4.15M, therefore a cap hit of $5.75M.

5.75 for McCabe
5.00 for Kubina
4.25 for Kaberle
2.075 for Hall Gill
1.30 for Carlo
.85 for White

so, just over 19.

Don't be worried about the Salaries.....I still think JFJ is going to shed one of the 5 million salaries in return for a smaller one.

Also the NHL has approved a cap hike that will see it lie between 48-52 million.....just an FYI.
