Overtime was going great until that nice juicy give away. This team just can't finish games.

In spite of Raycroft's shaky start, he gradually picked up his game and actually earned a point, when he shut down the Isles in the later part of the 3rd period...

I would like to see Clemmensen in a game, he has played well in the AHL and would be a good back-up, if we should trade Raycroft...

We also have to get back to a checking and trapping style of game, to go anywhere but a point is a point, better than a loss and nada...

That game was typical Raycroft. Makes some great saves, lets in some suspect goals.

He can't be counted on for a full 65 minutes plus shoot out- he's too inconsistent and after the game and you look at the stats its always still 3-4 goals on twenty-something shots. You can't win in the NHL with that. Even with Toskala playing lights-out over the last month, we still haven't crept up all that much in the standings.

But you have to give the Islanders credit in this game guys. They definitely outplayed us, and we were lucky to grab that point, especially when they were piling it on in the 3rd. But when you have a PP in OT, that's asking for a win. Someone should have finished this game off with that much space available on the ice. We were an inch away from a toss up in the shootout, and a bad give away cost us the game. 'Tis the Toronto Maple Leafs for ya fellas. BTW, does anyone else find it amazing how the Islanders are doing so well considering the definite lack of talent on their roster? Since when was Comrie a first liner? This just proves how good of a coach Ted Nolan really is.
