Kaberle an Allstar - No Mats?

I know they need a rep from each team, so that may be the reason.

http://www.nhl.com/allstar/2008/east_roster.html

Marian Hossa ATL 42 16 22 38 -9
Gomez NYR 44 10 30 40 +2
Mats Sundin TOR 44 20 28 48 10

Those are the two that struck me.

Overall I guess it comes to numbers in terms of how many forwards they had to pick from vs. d-men vs. getting a rep from each team.

I'm a huge Kaberle fan, but I'm not sure he deserves to be there this season. He hasn't been bad by any stretch, but he hasn't been as good as his last few seasons. Sundin should be the guy if a Leaf is going to go.

Having a guy from every team might have been okay when there were 21 teams. With 30 teams, it's a stupid rule. It's just as stupid in baseball. All-stars should be all-stars, period.

they had to make the Hossa pick cuz the game is in Atlanta, and im surprised they didnt pick Jagr instead of Gomez, if Jagr was in, Sundin would've been in to centre Jagr

Cava/Crosby/Alfred
Ovechkin/Sundin/Jagr
Kovalchuk/Spez/St.Louis
Richards/Staal/Heatley

dam thats way more solid
