Who fears that the Leafs may go on another one of their late-season winning streaks, only to fall one place out of 8th-- Subsequently, this'll remove them from receiving a good lottery pick.

What's with the winning business? Beating Boston, last night, served no purpose whatsoever.

I am scared as H E LL about it! The biggest problem with this game is that goaltending can influence the game more than any other one thing. When Toskala plays well they are in most games.

I don't think I will ever hope for injury to occur to any player, on any team. I am weakening, however. :P

The team has enough talent on the roster to increase their win total, especially with Sundin upfront and Toskala in net.

If they're serious about getting a top draft pick, trades will need to occur soon.

I say they do as much as possible to ensure the greatest probability of nabbing Steve Stamkos this summer. Additionally, they should really look to trade to obtain as many picks in the next two drafts as possible. It's a shame most of their contracts are damn near unmovable. . .

How do you feel about Drew Doughty?

I'll take any of these prospects, but it ain't happening the way this team is run. They are gonna keep winning, finish around 10th and get a mid level pick again :x

Just because we win 2 games everything changes :banghead:

It helps that the Lightning also won tonight, though it's a shame that the Kings lost.

Excellent prospect with tremendous upside. He's absolutely a player I'd love to target through the draft. He's going to be a very good player in the near future, he really impressed me throughout the World Juniors. His poise on the blueline was something you cannot overlook.

If you're looking for a defenseman to build your team around, look no further than this draft. There are a couple franchise defenseman that are going to be selected early, including Schenn (someone I'm also extremely high on).

Still, I'd love to draft Stamkos. To be completely honest, I was much more impressed with him than I was with Tavares throughout the World Juniors. I know it's just one tournament, and Tavares is still young...but I came away more impressed with Stamkos. He's someone that can turn your head in a hurry.

I saw the first two games and then family responsibilties got in the way. Damn. I wish I had had the oppoprtunity to see more.

At any rate MLSE better make its mind up soon about what it is doing or all this draft speculation will be a moot point. I know I posted somewhere that with the 3 point league it is hard to make up ground even if you win. I am worried that a little run might have them make up a little too much ground and they wind up SOL again.

Tonight, again, we got something we don't need. . . A win.

With Toskala in net, the Leafs will continue to either win games, or stay close in them. He's a goaltender that could easily steal you a game. Personally, I'm glad we have him moving forward. I said it at the time of the draft, and I'll say it again. We WON that trade. I'm still in favour of rebuilding this franchise, but I am extremely glad we recieved a capable goaltender to build around, especially in exchange for a 13th overall selection that probably wouldn't have amounted to much considering the depth of last years draft.

At least the Lightning and Kings also won, though tonight would've been the perfect night to lose on. In fact, every night, is a perfect night for the Leafs to lose on. I'd prefer it if they lost as much as possible.

It's funny how 95% of Leafs fans want to begin rebuilding whilst Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment are disallowing the very thought of it, assuming that Leafs fans wouldn't bear a couple of sh*t seasons. . .

They don't pause to think, sh*t seasons have been existent for the last 24532523523 years.

This month is horrible:
They should've lost to Tampa at the start of the year, and to Carolina two weeks later, and to Boston 2 days later, and to Buffalo two days after that. Beating Washington preceding last nights loss served no purpose either. Let us hope we lose to the Blues and the 'Canes to close out the month.

Honestly speaking, it'd be best if our team not show up at games. The automatic loss would help us get closer to Stamkos, plus, it'd save us from watching crap.
