Gustavsson Signs With Maple Leafs

Top goaltending free agent prospect Jonas Gustavsson has signed with the Maple Leafs.
After being courted heavily by the Sharks, Stars and Avalanche, the 24-year-old Swedish netminder signed a one-year deal worth a reported $810,000. He was the top goalie in the Swedish Elite League and compiled a 1.96 GAA and .932 save percentage. He will back up starter Vesa Toskala to start the season, but could take over the number one role if he plays well.
