Toronto Maple Leafs (0-1-1) VS Ottawa Senators (0-1-0)

Who: Read The Title!
What: Hockey!
Where: Air Canada Centre, Toronto ON
When: Tuesrday, October 6th 7:00PM (TSN)
Why: Because we love Hockey!

So after a somewhat promising start, the Leafs headed into Washington. They did not have a good start in DC at all as the dynamic Washington first line put unbelievable pressure on the Leafs and Alex Ovechkin was exactly what he is, amazing.

The Leafs were down early and fell to a 3-0 lead after 1, which brought in Jonas Gustavsson and his NHL debut. Now he didn't play too bad, let up 3 goals, 2 off of breakaways but showed some promise. The Leafs ended up losing 6-4 after starting a comeback that was too little too late. The D constantly pinching and the speed and skill of Washington was just too much.

On the other hand, Ottawa, the Leafs rivals opened up with a 5-2 loss to the Rangers, yay! The Leafs and Senators are renewing their vows now at the ACC and I'm sure with the new 'belligerence, truculence and testosterone' the matchup won't lack any of the grit we want to see.

The Leafs are facing a team that has fallen down to earth now and can def. jump on the Sens and take this one. After such a poor showing in Washington you can tell they want to bounce back and earn their first win. The Sens should also be hungry after their loss but former Leaf killer, Dany Heatley is no longer with them. It will be interesting to see how this one boils down.

The goaltending will be interesting to see on the Leafs side, who will start and how will they do? All will be answered soon, if the D can also somehow find a way to find themselves in the right position and be the new found D we expected, the Leafs will have a chance to win. Not to mention, the forwards rushing back to help as well. Needless to say I am excited for game 3 of the year and I want this one bad.

I think the saddest thing I've seen so far this year, is that the player I think has played most consistently for the team is Lee Stempniak.
