We currently sit 5 Games back of a playoff seed and we've played a couple more games give or take than the teams above us. From my basic predictions we will finish the year 9-16. Of coarse, we are going to need to reverse the wins and losses of this prediction...finishing 16-9 to even have a chance at grabbing the 8th seed.

I've been a Leafs fan since I was little and I am always optimistic even though our chances seem to be slim. Yes we struggled throughout most of the season but its useless going back to the past. I honestly believe that this clean slate was perfect because now we can really move forward fresh. Do we stand a chance at cracking the 8th seed here? The team is not that bad...I think the key is simply consistency. If our goaltending can stay consistant, our defense shows heart, and some guys step up by putting pucks in the net, I still have hope of that final 8th seed.

I guess the question to all of you is, what are your predictions on our remaining schedule?

Screw Boston...they aren't getting Taylor Hall without a fight.

I'll be mad if they get Seguin or Hall. :(

Hopefully we have the 6th worst record at least.

The fact of the matter is, Boston is going to get a hell of a player in the draft and it's too late to do anything about it. Looking at the bottom of the standings...

24. Atlanta
25. Boston
26. Columbus
27. NY Islanders
28. Toronto
29. Carolina
30. Edmonton

...for us to climb out of this hole of the bottom 5 will be next to impossible given the schedule. Even if we finish 26th, there's still a good chance the lottery balls could land with Boston picking in the top 3. Boston will get a top player no matter what, but let's just hope they don't get Hall, Seguin, or Fowler out of this draft, because each of those players will haunt us for the next 10-15 years.

Tuuka Rask is torture enough as it is.
