Depends on what player/players become available next summer. Nothing on the market right now gets them any closer than what they are. Especially not at the cost.

The focus should be on the backup 4 right now or standing pat. That's the reality of this season. How much the kids improve, continuity/chemistry and, minor trade at the deadline. That's all that's gonna happen.

I agree. I believe Knicks are close. They limit possessions and are the best rebounding team in the league. That sets them up nicely for beating teams they probably shouldn’t talent wise. I don’t know who would be available that we could get without gutting the team though.

No. Haven’t you watched the other teams? Embiid or Doncic could make that type of difference. No one else of that caliber is going to bold their current situations for the Knicks.

You can put prime MJ on this team. It’s not going to matter if the coach is has not shown any ability to adjust. I’m not saying Thibs can’t do it. He’s just shown very little ability or willingness to do so.
