Quickly not a problem..thibs is really a snake

Post#1 » by Nicnac » Thu Dec 28, 2023 11:43 pm

I admire that Q seems to understand thibs and is not an obvious problem

about two yrs ago it was obvious that Q and Obi were not thibs "kind of people". he doesn't like them.

I figured Obi was gone first. Q became to productive even though he tried to jerk him around in previous seasons.

D'Vinn is a good player but I have believed that he is here to replace Q. Putting Josh at forward instead of just trading Q for a replacement shows that the front office is just afraid to trade and maybe the coach and the couch surfers aren't really in synch

Now I do believe that Brunson is saving thibs job bc he has not proven to be a defensive guru in my eyes (consecutive games of 70 pt half time scores) and the team plays street ball. I can coach that

But Q. Hopefully he and the Frenchman will both be gone. Careers are short. They need a chance and both can play the role that they are good at

And yes. Obi is out of the starting lineup now but he at least got a chance

And BTW

Q has some Isiah Thomas of the pistons in him. His handle. His outside shot

Maybe never an allstar but I would love to see him get starters minutes even if he doesn't start

Thibs didn't like Obi but I don't think that's true of IQ. The front office just got too many competing players and didn't prioritize IQ. I think that will prove to be a mistake.

The whole reason IQ is even here is bc of Thibs. Dice Yoshimoto (Thibs right hand man) discovered IQ before he even arrived on the Knicks bench as an assistant coach. He put Thibs on to IQ while he was jobless after having been fired from Minnesota. They followed his development at Kentucky and they’re the reason IQ ultimately became their draft pick.

There is a bit of a politics issue at play.
Thibs loves size *pause*
He can't play Brunson, DDV, and IQ at the same time.
The guys on the radio today made a fair point... Brunson, Randle, Center are fixtures. That leaves two players to fight it out for these closing situations. Hart/RJ offers the most size. IQ was IMO unfairly bounced.
I do think there is some concerns about the next contract, but Thibs wants to win so those concerns are not as significant I suppose. The preference for DDV is more about the CAA alliance and DDV is playing well enough to justify it. I do think that if DDV was Klutch IQ would be in the starting 5 instead.

Look at me, I'm KnicksGod, I get annoyed that there are so many posters posting some good reasons about why IQ deserves more minutes, and damn, I'm just sick of reading that shat!

My only response is that IQ is only a backup PG and let me tell you, I'm going keep repeating that until everyone believes that cause it's a FACT. Cause shat, that's my opinion and it's a fact and no one is changing my mind! Wait no, my other defense mechanism is to feel all superior and judgmental! Whoops, let me post.

Here, I've helped you come up with a good response whenever you feel tired of posters posting about IQ :D Just copy and paste.

wym? you don't agree that we should be playing our best guard besides brunson, who thrives more as a secondary handler than as a primary, and has insane metrics on both sides of the ball, as the 2 guard in the starting lineup?
