Nobody insulted his family. They’re making fun of his sneakers and he’s a millionaire.
These guys are WAY too soft nowadays and take even the slightest criticism to heart. Brunson is one of the few players in today’s era who will hear someone criticize his game and go out there and try to be better instead of whine about it.
Humor is 100% subjective though. It doesn't matter if Hart was talking about his shoes, the dude didn't find it funny and didn't laugh. That's how comedy works whether you like or not.
This notion that everyone has to find humor in the same exact thing is really weird.
No offense dude but this makes no sense.
Self humor is something everyone should have. Nobody should take themselves too seriously.
Those people who can dish it but can’t take it are some of the most annoying people to be around.
It’s not admirable trait. Defending it isn’t the hill to die on.
It's not really about people taking themselves too seriously.
If someone says something about you that you don't like, and you laugh it off, that's totally fine. That's how you handle things. I'm not judging.
But realistically, no one person is the same and it's irrational to think that everyone should or will respond to something disrespectful said about them amicably. Not everyone jokes around or finds stuff funny.
